BREAKOUT KINGS (FOX) - A&E reportedly is in preliminary talks to revive the failed FOX pilot, about ex-fugitives who are recruited to work as U.S. Marshals. Brooke Nevin, Domenick Lombardozzi, Jimmi Simpson, Laz Alonso, Malcolm Goodwin and Nicole Steinwedell all co-star in the 20th Century Fox Television/Chernin Entertainment-based hour, which comes from co-creators Matt Olmstead and Nick Santora. Gavin Hood helmed the pilot and likewise executive produced.
KICK ASS MILITIA (FX, New!) - Actor/producer Matthew McConaughey is developing a new single-camera comedy at the cable channel about "two brothers whose divergent views are always pitting them against each other on their Malibu compound - one a survivalist and one a free-loving cult leader." Marc Hyman is penning the half-hour, which is based on source material by J.R. Reed. McConaughey then will executive produce via his J.K. Livin banner.
OFF THE MAP (ABC) - Gretchen Berg and Aaron Harberts have inked a two-year overall deal with ABC Studios. The pact sets up the veteran duo at the studio where they'll develop new series projects. In addition, they'll serve as executive producers on the midseason drama, which was created by Jenna Bans. Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers also serve as executive producers.
TRUE BEAUTY (ABC) - Ashton Kutcher and Jason Goldberg's Katalyst Media is setting up shop at Warner Horizon Television, inking a two-year overall deal with the studio. The company is coming off a first-look deal with CBS Television Studios and being previously based at 20th Century Fox Television. The pact calls for them to develop new scripted and unscripted projects for Warner Horizon, the current home of its sophomore series "True Beauty.
