CINEMA VERITE (HBO) - Thomas Dekker ("Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles") has joined the cast of the upcoming docudrama, a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the groundbreaking 1970s documentary "An American Family." He'll play son Lance, "who became the center of scrutiny when he came out as a gay man on the show." Tim Robbins and Diane Lane star as his parents with James Gandolfini as the documentary's producer. Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini are helming the project, which was written by David Seltzer. Production begins this summer in Los Angeles.
HOT IN CLEVELAND (TV Land) - Executive producers Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner have inked a two-year overall deal with Universal Media Studios. The pact calls for the duo to develop new series projects for the studio via their Hazy Mills banner. Already in the works at USA is an untitled project from writer Jeff Rake about "a performer who enters into the world or organized crime."
