All Starz Channels Now Offered in HD - New Starz In Black HD and Starz Cinema HD Channels Launched First on DIRECTV

DIRECTV Becomes First Launch Affiliate with All Starz Networks in HD; Adds Encore HD

ENGLEWOOD, Colo., June 23 -- Starz Entertainment and DIRECTV announced that three new HD channels from Starz Entertainment launched today on DIRECTV, including the brand new Starz In Black HD and Starz Cinema HD offerings. DIRECTV is the first affiliate to launch the new Starz HD channels, and now offers every Starz premium channel in high definition.

DIRECTV recently announced the addition of more than 30 new HD channels to its HD lineup, which includes the Starz and Encore channels. Encore HD (East) is the third channel from Starz Entertainment launched today on DIRECTV.

The additional Starz and Encore HD movie channels are offered at no extra charge to DIRECTV Starz(R) Super Pack subscribers who receive monthly HD access.

Exclusive HD movies coming this summer to the new Starz HD channels include:

Starz In Black HD - Law Abiding Citizen, District 9, Michael Jackson's This Is It, Pandorum, Obsessed, The Taking of Pelham 123, Lakeview Terrace, Hancock and the upcoming exclusive Starz Originals 8-part epic event, "The Pillars of the Earth."

Starz Cinema HD - Angels & Demons, Seven Pounds, Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist, The International, Doubt, Rachel Getting Married, Last Chance Harvey, and The Boy In The Striped Pajamas.

Encore HD - The Mask, Rush Hour 2, Signs, Reign of Fire, Happy Gilmore, Jaws, The Mummy Returns, The Rock, Speed, and Monsters, Inc.
