GSN ANNOUNCES THE RETURN OF HIT ORIGINAL SERIES "BAGGAGE" AND "CATCH 21," BOTH PREMIERING AUGUST 16

"Baggage," Hosted by Jerry Springer, Returns for a Second Season

"Catch 21," Hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro, Returns for a Fourth Season

Santa Monica, CA - July 26, 2010 - GSN (Game Show Network) announced today the return of two original series: the network's highest rated original strip series ever, BAGGAGE, hosted by Jerry Springer, returns for its second season; and the perennially popular CATCH 21, hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro, will launch its fourth season. CATCH 21 premieres Monday, August 16, 2010 at 5:30 p.m. ET/PT. BAGGAGE premieres Monday, August 16, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. ET/PT.

On each half-hour episode of BAGGAGE, Springer guides the fun as one dater chooses among three contestants who reveal the intimate secrets and hidden flaws that are typically kept under wraps to impress a first date. Each contestant enters with three suitcasessmall, medium and largecontaining the quirky, annoying and sometimes truly shocking "baggage" that may or may not eliminate the contestants from competition, to the accompaniment of the dater's tagline, "I'm sorry, but you have too much baggage." Can the dater handle a woman who sleeps with 15 stuffed animals? A 42-year old man who colors his eyebrows and eyelashes? What if he still lives with momor she was previously a go-go dancer? With a lively pace and a playful sense of humor, BAGGAGE reveals what people are willing to put up with in the name of finding love.

BAGGAGE is produced by a unit of Comcast Entertainment Studios, with Jay James and Michael Binkow serving as Executive Producers.

CATCH 21 is one of GSN viewers' favorite series, with ratings and key demo delivery having progressively grown with each season. Its fast-paced game play features host Alfonso Ribeiro quizzing contestants three at a time as they compete to win playing cards, and try to build the hand that comes closest to 21. Following three elimination rounds, the last player standing attempts to build 21 from a larger-than-life deck for a shot at up to $25,000.

Fans of CATCH 21 can also extend the experience into their homes every day by competing in CATCH 21 online cash competitions, downloading the CATCH 21 iPhone game, and playing the free online game against other GSN fans for prizes. All are available at GSN.com/CATCH21.

CATCH 21 is created and executive produced by four-time Emmy winner Merrill Heatter whose iconic game show creations include HOLLYWOOD SQUARES, HIGH ROLLERS, GAMBIT, and more than 30 other game show series. Executive producer Scott Sternberg's credits include ROCK & ROLL JEOPARDY!, THE SINGING OFFICE, THE GONG SHOW and two seasons of THAT'S THE QUESTION for GSN. He is CEO and founder of Scott Sternberg Productions.
