DEBRA MESSING TO MAKE SPECIAL GUEST APPEARANCE ON "LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT"

New York, NY - January 5, 2010 - Emmy and SAG-winning actress Debra Messing will guest star on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," scheduled to air this February. Messing is a five-time Emmy nominee and a six-time Golden Globe nominee for her role as Grace Adler in NBC's hit series "Will and Grace," for which she won the Emmy in 2003. She also gained Emmy, Golden Globe and SAG nominations for her role in the USA Network miniseries "The Starter Wife."

Messing will guest star as a television journalist working to expose pedophiles, and the SVU detectives must step in when her own life is put in danger.
