Sundance Channel Taps Marco Bresaz as Vice President of Original Programming and Development

New York, NY, January 18, 2010 - Sundance Channel announced today the appointment of Marco Bresaz as vice president of Original Programming and Development. Based in New York, Marco will oversee Sundance Channel's growing slate of original productions, reporting to Michael Klein, senior vice president of Original Programming and Development.

"Marco is an exceptionally skilled executive with an impressive background developing and producing across multiple genres, including unscripted, docu-soaps, scripted drama, comedy and lifestyle programming," said Klein. "His experience will be a huge asset to Sundance Channel as we expand our original programming slate this year and continue to establish the network as a destination for viewers to discover what's next, now."

Marco has extensive experience developing and producing both broadcast and cable television for leading media and entertainment companies, including MTV Networks, ABC and Lifetime. Most recently, he was vice president, Original Programming and Development for TV Land, where he was a key driver behind the channel's push into original programming and helped launch many successful franchises for the network, including TV Land's first original sitcom, the smash hit "Hot In Cleveland."

Prior to that role, Marco worked at ABC Daytime as a production executive for "One Life to Live" and "All My Children," both of which won Emmy Awards during his tenure.

Marco is a graduate of Syracuse University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Television, Radio and Film Management. He currently resides in New Jersey with his wife, Laura, and their two children.
