THE DAY IS THEIRS, AND BECAUSE IT IS THEIRS, IT BELONGS TO THE NATION -- AND THE WORLD

"WILLIAM & KATE: A ROYAL LOVE STORY," A HALLMARK CHANNEL ORIGINAL MOVIE FROM EMMY(R) AWARD-WINNING PRODUCER LINDA YELLEN, HAS ITS WORLD PREMIERE EXCLUSIVELY ON HALLMARK CHANNEL AUGUST 13

Hallmark Channel and Emmy(R) Award-winning producer Linda Yellen ("Playing for Time") announce the Hallmark Channel Original Movie, "William & Kate: A Royal Love Story," will soon head into production for a World Premiere, Saturday, August 13 (9 p.m. ET/PT, 8C) exclusively on Hallmark Channel. Ms. Yellen whose previous credits include being the Executive Producer of "The Royal Romance of Charles and Diana," one of the most popular TV movies of all time, has written and will produce the biopic.

Barbara Fisher, Senior Vice President, Original Programming, Hallmark Channels, said, "I feel fortunate to have such a wonderful relationship with Linda Yellen, one of the best filmmakers and storytellers in television, and to have the opportunity to collaborate with her in bringing the romantic love story of William and Kate to Hallmark Channel.

"The love story of Prince William and Kate Middleton, which will culminate April 29, 2011 in the biggest royal wedding since Charles and Diana, chronicles the pair as young students at St. Andrews, William's Army training at Sandhurst Military Academy, their break-up, reunification, engagement and planning of royal nuptials, and advice from William's grandmother, the Queen.

"While biographical, the film is a love story with an inside look at the nuances of a modern monarchy, and Hallmark Channel is thrilled to bring 'William and Kate: A Royal Love Story' to television.

Nearly 30 years ago, 750 million people worldwide watched as beautiful Lady Diana Spencer married Charles Windsor, the future King of England, making the wedding the most watched program ever broadcast. The world obsessed over Princess Di in her short life and even after her death - but the object of the world's affection was most often her children, Prince William and Prince Harry. So it will be that amid pomp, circumstance, pageantry and opulence, Prince William will marry the princess of his dreams Kate Middleton at Westminster Abbey in a ceremony that will surely invite flashbacks to July 29, 1981.

Hallmark Channel, owned and operated by Crown Media Holdings, Inc., is a 24-hour basic cable network that provides a diverse slate of high-quality entertainment programming available in high definition (HD) and standard definition (SD) to a national audience of almost 88million subscribers. The top tier program service is distributed through more than 5,450 cable systems and communities as well as direct-to-home satellite services across the country. Hallmark Channel is the nation's leading network in providing quality family programming with an ambitious slate of original TV movies, general entertainment and home and lifestyle content. Hallmark Channel's sibling network is Hallmark Movie Channel, also available in HD and SD, which focuses on the family-friendly movies with a mix of classic theatrical films, presentations from the acclaimed Hallmark Hall of Fame library, original Hallmark Channel movies and special events.
