NEW YORK - October 4, 2011 - Oxygen Media has announced a green light for "The Next Big Thing (wt)," developed and produced by BBC Worldwide Productions, which will follow star-maker and music coach Trapper Felides as he trains a group of triple-threat performers for their big break into show business. Two additional series greenlights include "Brooklyn Crew," which is a powerful look at a group of girls and the events that tore them apart, and "Tanisha Gets Married (wt)" documenting the colorful path to a wedding for Oxygen star Tanisha Thomas. All three new series are scheduled to air on Oxygen in 2012.

Jason Klarman, President, Oxygen Media commented, "These are great additions to our line up of live out loud shows, featuring the topics and the personalities our target audience is obsessed about." He added, "They all complement and build on our successful franchises."

This production slate caps off a busy summer for Oxygen which saw a critically acclaimed, groundbreaking first season for its reality competition series "The Glee Project," a spinoff of the series "Glee," and a return for a second season of fantasy competition series "Hair Battle Spectacular."

Series Pick-ups:

"The Next Big Thing (wt)" features Trapper Felides, a top New York City performance coach and musical director who gives his clients the blunt truth and tough love they need to succeed. The series will follow Felides as he mentors a group of performers as they prepare for their next career changing audition or their big music industry break. In each episode viewers will get an inside look at Trapper's uncensored methods for success to turn good performers into great ones, and great ones into stars. Trapper is much more than just a vocal coach and career maker - he's also a life coach, a brother, a mentor and a seasoned guide through the tough world of show business. "The Next Big Thing (wt)" is produced by BBC Worldwide Productions and Omelette Bar Productions with Izzie Pick Ashcroft, Jo Honig, Jane Tranter, Stacey Angeles and Eric Cyphers serving as executive producers.

Set in the close knit community of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, NY, "Brooklyn Crew" takes viewers on a voyeuristic journey into the lives of two lifelong groups of friends who have been torn apart by jealousy, rivalry and a bitter betrayal that is clouded in mystery. Nothing is more important in this town then loyalty and respect and depending on who you believe, it appears one of its own has broken that code. Even though it's a mere hour from Manhattan, Bay Ridge remains a town with its own customs, language and rules. Shot in a vivid, documentary style, "Brooklyn Crew" will follow the story of two groups of girls fighting a turf war to rule Bay Ridge. Who will win is uncertain, but the stakes have never been higher. "Brooklyn Crew" is produced by Ish Entertainment with Michael Hirschorn, Wendy Roth, Ethan Goldman and Lenid Rolov serving as executive producers.

"Tanisha Gets Married (wt)" is the outrageous new docu-series that follows former "Bad Girls Club" alum and current host of Oxygen's "Love Games," Tanisha Thomas, as she prepares for her magical walk down the aisle. Tanisha is known for going big and her wedding will be no exception - from the hippest location to the blingiest dress to the most over-the-top guest list she is determined to throw a wedding that's fit for a Bad Girl. With the stress of planning a wedding, a rollercoaster romance with her fiance Clive, and a family that fears she's gone "Hollywood" will Tanisha hold it all together and make it down the aisle? "Tanisha Gets Married (wt)" is produced by 495 Productions with SallyAnn Salsano serving as executive producer.
