Michelle Singletary, Washington Post Personal Finance Columnist, Also Joins as a Weekly Financial Contributor

Dr. Jennifer Ashton, leading health expert and OB-GYN, and Dr. Tiffanie Davis Henry, Ph.D., psychotherapist and relationship expert, have been named co-hosts of "The Revolution," ABC Daytime's new daily show about health and lifestyle transformations, it was announced today by Brian Frons, president, Daytime, Disney/ABC Television Group. Dr. Ashton and Dr. Davis Henry will round out the previously announced team of co-hosts that includes Ty Pennington, Tim Gunn and celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak, in a quest to help viewers take positive steps toward a better way of life.

Dr. Ashton is an advocate for patients, especially women, and will help them demand the best for themselves and from their doctors when it comes to health and family. Dr. Davis Henry will help people get to the heart of their emotional issues quickly.

Additionally, Michelle Singletary, Pulitzer Prize-nominated Washington Post personal finance columnist, will contribute weekly financial segments. Singletary is passionate about getting people to face their emotional roadblocks when it comes to money.

As a women's health expert, Dr. Jennifer Ashton is passionate about bringing up-to-the-minute medical information that will transform your health, save you money and might just save your life.

A graduate of Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons, Dr. Ashton is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and is an attending physician at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center in Englewood, NJ, an affiliate of Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Most recently she has served as a medical correspondent for CBS News and a medical contributor for Fox News. She has been a regular guest expert on "The Dr. Oz Show," and has also been a featured expert on XM Radio's "Oprah & Friends" with Dr. Mehmet Oz, and appeared on TLC's "A Baby Story" and on PBS. Dr. Ashton is the author of the award-winning book The Body Scoop for Girls and of Your Body Beautiful (due out on January 5, 2012).

Dr. Tiffanie Davis Henry's philosophy is, if we allow our fears to mold our lives, we may never know what we could do, be or have and miss our opportunity of greatness. Dr. Davis Henry is a psychotherapist with a thriving private practice in Atlanta that focuses on helping women and couples forge healthier relationships. She has a BA in Psychology, an MA in Professional Counseling, and went on to become the first African Americans in the state of Georgia to obtain certification as a sex therapist, after obtaining her doctorate in Human Sexuality Education. Dr. Davis Henry has contributed to articles in fitAltanta and Cosmopolitan magazines, and has been featured on Vh1's "What Chili Wants." TLC's "My Strange Addiction" and "Swift Justice with Nancy Grace."

Michelle Singletary believes the key to financial health is living as debt free as possible and living below your means. On "The Revolution" she will show viewers how to become financially fit. Singletary writes the hugely successful, award-winning nationally syndicated personal finance column, "The Color of Money," for The Washington Post, which is syndicated in more than 100 newspapers around the country, reaching millions of readers. The Post has nominated her column for a Pulitzer Prize. Singletary is also the author of three books: Spend Well, Live Rich, Your Money and Your Man and the recently published The Power to Prosper: 21 Days to Financial Freedom. For two seasons Singletary was host her own national television program, "Singletary Says," on TV One. She is also a frequent contributor for National Public Radio.

"The Revolution" is produced by 3 Ball Productions/Eyeworks USA, the producers of "The Biggest Loser" and ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition." JD Roth and Todd A. Nelson serve as executive producers.
