"KATIE" CONTINUES TO GARNER OUTSTANDING CLEARANCES, WITH MORE THAN 80% OF THE COUNTRY SOLD IN JUST OVER TWO MONTHS

Highly Anticipated Talker Cleared in 55 of Top 60 Markets

BURBANK, CA. - In a period of just over two months, Katie Couric's highly anticipated nationally syndicated talk show, "Katie," has already been cleared in more than 80% of the country, it was announced today by Janice Marinelli, president, Disney-ABC Domestic Television. "Katie" will premiere in September 2012.

Disney-ABC Domestic Television has secured exceptional station clearances and key early fringe time periods for the one-hour daily daytime talk show. Sales to date include 55 out of the top 60 markets. In addition to the previously announced station groups, "Katie" has also been sold to leading stations from broadcast groups including Granite, Griffin, Media General, Meredith, Raycom and Sinclair. The most recent "Katie" clearances include KSTP Minneapolis, WEWS Cleveland, KMOV St. Louis, KGW Portland, WSMV Nashville, WCMH Columbus, KSL Salt Lake City, WLOS Greenville/Asheville, KSAT San Antonio, WZZM Grand Rapids and WBMA Birmingham, among others.

"We are absolutely thrilled with the quality of stations onboard to launch 2012's most highly anticipated new syndicated talker," said Marinelli. "The extraordinary momentum behind this series is a true testament to Katie's talent, appeal and her incomparable ability to connect with viewers."

The Disney/ABC Television Group signed a multi-year, multi-platform agreement with the award-winning journalist, best-selling author and popular TV personality. In addition to hosting "Katie," which is set to premiere in September 2012, Couric currently serves as a member of the ABC News team.

"Katie" will be produced in conjunction with Disney-ABC, and Jeff Zucker will be the executive producer.
