Almost one year later, TLC will recognize the disaster that rattled the world with JAPAN TSUNAMI: TALES OF TERROR premiering Thursday, March 8 at 9/8c. This one-hour special shares rare footage from key eyewitnesses who lived through the devastation. These amateur photographers and video enthusiasts captured the impact of the earthquake and tsunami that devastated Japan in March 2011. This was one of the most recorded disasters in history, with Japan being one of the most wired countries in the world.

Yu Muroga narrowly escaped death as his car (with an on-board camera) was swept away in the torrential current of the tsunami that devastated Japan in March 2011.
