"URBAN TARZAN" SWINGS HIS WAY ONTO THE SPIKE TV SCHEDULE IN 2013

Network Picks Up 10 Episodes of Series Featuring the Perilous Adventures of Legendary Extreme Animal Handler, "UrbanTarzan"

New York, NY - September 20, 2012 - Spike TV has announced the pick-up of ten episodes of the half-hour show, "Urban Tarzan," which follows the country's preeminent extreme animal handler known as "UrbanTarzan" (formerly John Brennan who legally changed his name to the one word UrbanTarzan) who rescues, captures, and relocates dangerous and exotic animals.

The series showcases the unpredictable world of UrbanTarzan as he runs the Urban Tarzan Animal Relocation team, a privately-owned exotic and dangerous animal relocation service whose hazardous missions runs the gamut from capturing a deadly python on the loose in a residential neighborhood to tracking down a lion who escaped from an animal sanctuary.

UrbanTarzan sees himself as someone who is not just protecting people, but protecting the animal. He is constantly challenged with delicate task of keeping the public safe along with making sure the animal isn't harmed in the process. Bitten or stung by seemingly every creature in existence, UrbanTarzan relies on his intuitive sense of even the most intimidating animal. He also leans on the assistance of Jay "The Caveman" Cassidy, his right-hand man in each tumultuous situation.

"Urban Tarzan" is produced by Asylum Entertainment and will debut on Spike in the spring of 2013. Steve Michaels and Jonathan Koch from Asylum Entertainment serve as executive producers. The original concept for the show was created by UrbanTarzan, Lorraine Yarde and Mark Basile.

The series will be shot in various locations throughout the country.

Sharon Levy is Spike TV's Executive Vice President, Original Series, Tim Duffy is Senior Vice President of Original Series for Spike TV, and Jeff Savaiano and Chris Rantamaki serve as the network's Executive in Charge of Production.
