NICKMOM LAUNCHES "TAKE ME TO YOUR MOTHER," NEW DOCU-COMEDY SERIES STARRING COMIC ANDREA ROSEN, PREMIERING MONDAY, MAY 6, AT 10PM (ET/PT)

NEW YORK - April 24, 2013 - NickMom, the primetime TV block for moms, launches Take Me To Your Mother, a new docu-comedy series premiering Monday, May 6, at 10 p.m. (ET/PT) on the Nick Jr. channel. Starring comic and first-time mom Andrea Rosen, the series follows Rosen's adventures around the country as she meets different moms and gets advice on what it takes to raise a great kid. The Take Me To Your Mother premiere week will include five new episodes airing Monday, May 6 through Friday, May 10, at 10 p.m. (ET/PT). The series is created and executive produced by Linda Schaffer (Emmy Award-winning Nickellennium) and Barbara Kanowitz (Pulp Comics) of Hot Air Productions and Rosen.

"Take Me To Your Mother invites viewers to join Andrea on a revealing and hilarious journey of discovery as she encounters these diverse mothers," said Bronwen O'Keefe, Senior Vice President, NickMom. "The series deals with relatable parenting issues and the struggle to decide what's really right for you and your child."

Completely uneducated about kids, Rosen decides the best people to ask about how to raise a great kid are other moms. With each episode of Take Me To Your Mother centering on a genuine question, Rosen turns to real women ranging from a group of Italian moms to roller derby moms to get answers. Everywhere she turns there's another funny gem about how to raise a responsible, caring child. In the premiere episode, "Andrea Wants a Momma's Boy," Rosen decides she never wants her son to leave so she visits some moms in the Bronx and their devoted adult sons to learn how to bond.

Rosen is an actress, writer and comedian, who recently starred in the Showtime pilot The Andrew Gurland Project. She has also appeared on Weeds, The Big C and Rescue Me, but is best known for her work in Stella, Michael & Michael Have Issues and The Flight of the Conchords. She can also be seen in the feature films Wedding Daze and The Ten with Paul Rudd. Rosen also holds a woman's fishing world record for catching the biggest Permit fish on an eight pound test line (true).

NickMom is a new primetime ad-supported TV block for moms that airs on the Nick Jr. channel. The block features a mix of original long- and short-form programming, including talk shows, stand-up and sketch comedy, docu-series and more. Current series on NickMom include: NickMom Night Out; MFF: Mom Friends Forever; Parental Discretion With Stefanie Wilder-Taylor and What Was Carol Brady Thinking? NickMom recently picked up 13 episodes of Instant Mom, the block's first original scripted comedy series, starring Tia Mowry-Hardrict. NickMom is also a fully featured comedy and entertainment site with extensive content including short-form video, photos, editorial pieces and games.
