MOONBEAM CITY (Comedy Central, New!) - Scott Gairdner ("Conan") is developing an animated comedy at the cable channel billed as "an absurdist take on neon-soaked 1980s crime dramas, centering on Dazzle Novak, a handsome yet moronic undercover detective who does everything in his power to avoid solving crimes." He'll write and executive produce alongside Olive Bridge Entertainment's Will Gluck and Richard Schwartz for Sony Pictures Television. (THR.com)

SING YOUR FACE OFF (ABC, New!) - The Alphabet has ordered six episodes of a new talent competition in which "a cast of five celebrities each week are physically transformed and trained to perform as a legendary singer, often as somebody who is far older or younger than the celebs." Endemol USA is behind the project, which is based on the Spanish format, "Your Face Sounds Familiar." Georgie Hurford-Jones will serve as an executive producer. (EW.com)

SPOILS OF BABYLON, THE (IFC/Gary Sanchez; W: Andrew Steele & Matt Piedmont; D: Matt Piedmont) - Tobey Maguire and Kristen Wiig are set to star in the six-episode comedy, about the sexy and dramatic lives of a family who made their fortune in the oil business. The former will play Devon Morehouse, who "as an orphaned child was taken in by future oil magnate Jonas Morehouse, and his daughter, Cynthia (Wiig)." They'll join Will Ferrell, who plays famous author Eric Jonrosh as well as the Shah of Iran. (Deadline.com)
