LIFETIME ORIGINAL MOVIE "JODI ARIAS: DIRTY LITTLE SECRET," STARRING TANIA RAYMONDE AND JESSE LEE SOFFER, TO MAKE ITS WORLD PREMIERE SATURDAY, JUNE 22

Eagerly-Anticipated Film Dissects Jodi Arias' True Crime Story From Gripping Trial to Murder Conviction

Network to Also Air Documentary Jodi Arias: Beyond the Headlines on Wednesday, May 22

LOS ANGELES, CA (May 16, 2013) - On the heels of Jodi Arias' murder conviction last week, Lifetime today announced that its original movie Jodi Arias: Dirty Little Secret will make its world premiere on Saturday, June 22, at 8:00pm ET/PT.

Based on the disturbing murder trial that continues to captivate the nation, Jodi Arias: Dirty Little Secret tells the story of Jodi Arias (Tania Raymonde, Lost), a seductive 28-year-old aspiring photographer recently found guilty of killing her former lover, Travis Alexander (Jesse Lee Soffer, The Mob Doctor), who was found nude in his home shower with a slit throat, 27 additional stab wounds and a bullet to the head. While investigating the violent killing, Mesa, Arizona police retrieved a digital camera from Alexander's washing machine, revealing shocking images authorities claim Arias took during their sexual escapades, as well as during and after his murder. While Jodi pled not guilty and contends she killed Alexander in self-defense, police concluded that when he broke off their relationship, she stalked her ex-boyfriend and seduced him one final time before murdering him in cold blood. Her subsequent trial has been grand theater, dominating the cable news networks as she testified in her own defense and offered explicit insight into the sex, lies and obsession that led up to Alexander's murder. Tony Plana (Ugly Betty) portrays Prosecutor Juan Martinez and David Zayas (Dexter) plays Detective Esteban Flores.

In advance of the movie's premiere, on Wednesday, May 22, at 10:00pm ET/PT, Lifetime will air the hour-long documentary, Jodi Arias: Beyond the Headlines, providing an in-depth look at Arias' and Alexander's tragic relationship and his murder, as told by Arias herself, as well as his sister, brother and close friends. Additionally, police detective Esteban Flores and criminologist Lawrence Kobilinsky will explain their take on everything involving the case leading up to Alexander's gruesome murder on June 4, 2008. Jodi Arias: Beyond the Headlines will also air on Saturday, June 22, at 10:00pm ET/PT, immediately following the movie's world premiere. Jodi Arias: Beyond the Headlines is produced by CBS EYE Productions. Jodi Arias: Dirty Little Secret is produced by SilverScreen Pictures in association with City Entertainment and Peace Out Productions, with Joshua D. Maurer (Lifetime's Georgia O'Keeffe, Introducing Dorothy Dandridge, And Starring Pancho Villa As Himself), Alixandre Witlin (Lifetime's Georgia O'Keeffe, Dodson's Journey) and Judith Verno (Lifetime's Drew Peterson: Untouchable, The Craigslist Killer, Natalee Holloway) serving as executive producers. The film is directed by Jace Alexander (Law & Order, Rescue Me) from a script by Richard Blaney and Gregory Small (Okavango: The Wild Frontier).

A+E Networks will handle international sales for Jodi Arias: Dirty Little Secret.
