The CW Books "Cult" Revival for June 28; "The Hunt" Renamed "Capture"

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- The CW has made a few more revisions to its summer lineup, including a new title for one of its freshman entries.

Newcomer "The Hunt" - in which 12 teams of 2 will enter "The Arena," a fenced-in enclosure in the middle of the wild, where they must live for one month and compete against each other for scarce resources - has been given the revised moniker of "Capture." The series premieres Wednesday, July 31 at 9:00/8:00c.

Meanwhile, the netlet's short-lived drama "Cult" will burn off its six remaining episodes across three Fridays: June 28, July 5 and July 12 at 8:00/7:00c and 9:00/8:00c. Creator Rockne S. O'Bannon broke said news earlier this evening on his Twitter page.

Both changes are in addition to the second season of "Breaking Pointe" moving up a week to Monday, July 22, as revealed earlier today (read the story).

The CW also has the half-hour series "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" and "Perfect Score" due on Tuesday, July 16 at 8:00/7:00c and 9:00/8:00c, respectively. Both series will open with back-to-back originals with an original and a repeat on subsequent weeks.
