Style celebrates Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Spring 2014 Collections with fashion-inspired programming, including "The 'IT' List: Top 10 Fall Trends" special which premieres Thursday, September 12 at 9pm ET/PT. Hosted by fashion expert Louise Roe, "The 'IT' List: Top 10 Fall Trends" will count down the most exciting looks for the Fall. With the help of partner Pinterest, Style's favorite bloggers will show viewers their recommendations for using these new trends at home. From Monday, September 9 through Saturday, September 14 at 9pm and 12 midnight ET/PT, Style News will break in to recap the best highlights from Fashion Week with an extended version posting on StyleNetwork.com. Throughout the week, a Style News ticker will scroll on-air, providing the latest news from Lincoln Center.
Beginning Thursday, September 5, Style takes over Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Lincoln Center with a "Styled to Rock" fashion installation that will spotlight the network's new fashion competition series which is set to premiere Tuesday, November 5. In addition to highlighting the fashions of executive producer Robyn Rihanna Fenty and mentors Pharrell Williams and Erin Wasson, a photo booth activation will allow attendees to take pictures with "Styled to Rock" props and set pieces then share them through their Facebook and Twitter accounts. Participants may have their photos featured on-air and will receive a fashion week survival kit as a gift. Also, Style's branded lounge will stream the runway shows.
The action extends off the runways as Style partners with VEVO, the world's leading all-premium music video and entertainment platform, to host a "music meets fashion" party on Thursday, September 5 in New York. Celebrating the marriage of music and fashion and the network's highly-anticipated fashion competition series "Styled to Rock," show mentor Erin Wasson will emcee the night, featuring live performances by Cazzette and Bridget Kelly. Guests also will be able to enjoy the photo booth activation and share their experience at the party via Facebook and Twitter.
Committed to bringing fans content wherever they may be, Style's comprehensive coverage continues beyond on-air to the digital and social platforms. For the first time, Style Network will collaborate with Pinterest in a joint effort to bring Fashion Week content to consumers everywhere as the exclusive broadcast outlet. The partnership includes a Style curated board on Pinterest's Fashion Week hub at pinterest.com/fashionweek, which is designed to offer pinners a unique glimpse into the inspiration behind the season's hottest looks. Style will provide trend alerts on-air, detailing pins from fashion influencers and directing viewers to Pinterest. A "Just Pinned" feature will be embedded in the dedicated Fashion Week section on StyleNetwork.com which also links to the network's Fashion Week Pinterest board.
StyleNetwork.com will have fashion editors on the ground, capturing key moments during Fashion Week and reporting on the latest news and sightings. Additionally, Style QuickTips will be expanded on the website, offering extensive videos backstage at the runway shows and designers' studios with fashion and beauty tips from the pros. Full designer runway shows will stream live or within hours of taking place at StyleNetwork.com. Users will be able to experience Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week digitally via the network's Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, interacting with Style and other passionistas.
