HGTV'S PROPERTY BROTHERS JUGGERNAUT CONTINUES WITH SOPHOMORE SEASONS OF "BUYING AND SELLING" AND "BROTHER VS. BROTHER"

NEW YORK [For Immediate Release - November 21, 2013] With the fifth season of HGTV's Property Brothers attracting more than 10 million viewers P25-54 and with the series consistently ranking as a Top 5 cable program in its time period among upscale W25-54, network brass are confident about the second season performance of Buying and Selling. The series, which premieres on Wednesday, December 4, at 9 p.m. ET/PT, features sizzling twin brothers and break-out stars, Jonathan Scott and Drew Scott, who were recently included on People magazine's list of Sexiest Men Alive. The siblings also will return for a second season of Brother vs. Brother in June 2014.

"Drew and Jonathan are a powerhouse duo who has captivated audiences since the premiere of Property Brothers in 2011," said Steven Lerner, senior vice president of programming, HGTV. "Their energy, expertise and charisma have resonated with audiences in a way that has allowed them to transcend our category and become pop culture phenomena."

More than 8 million P25-54 viewers tuned in to the first season of Buying & Selling on HGTV. During its run, it ranked as a top 10 HGTV prime program among P25-54 ratings and it grew its time period rating by 27% over year ago levels (among P25-54 ratings). Each episode of the series features two critical real estate moments that involve selling one home and buying another - Jonathan, a licensed contractor, readies a family's current home for a successful sale while Drew, a real estate agent, hunts down the best options for their next property. As Drew oversees the real estate transactions, Jonathan's renovations turn the family's new place into the home of their dreams.

During its six-week run, Brother vs. Brother was up 100% over the same time period last year and was a top four regularly scheduled Sunday night cable series among upscale P25-54 and 4.4 million P25-54 tuned in to the series. A home renovation competition series, Brother vs. Brother pits Jonathan and Drew against each other as they each mentor a team of six talented home improvement experts vying for a grand prize of $50,000.
