SECOND ANNUAL CELEBRATION EVENT RETURNS TO THE PALEY CENTER FOR MEDIA IN BEVERLY HILLS ON MARCH 10, 2014 AND KICKS OFF PALEYFEST

BEVERLY HILLS, CA, FEBRUARY 20, 2014 - The Paley Center for Media today announced acclaimed writer, producer, and director Judd Apatow as the recipient of the 2014 PALEYFEST Icon Award, which is named for William S. Paley, the pioneering media titan and founder of The Paley Center for Media, and recognizes individual creative achievements in television. Apatow will receive the award at a celebration hosted by Pat Mitchell, president & CEO of The Paley Center for Media on Monday, March 10, 2014, at the Center's Beverly Hills location, which will serve as the kickoff event for PALEYFEST.

"With events showcasing The Ben Stiller Show, The Larry Sanders Show, Freaks and Geeks, and Undeclared, the Paley Center has enjoyed a long and fantastic history with Judd Apatow, who currently reigns as one of the most sought-after innovators in all media," commented Pat Mitchell, president & CEO, The Paley Center for Media. "We look forward to honoring him as our 2014 PALEYFEST Icon, and to acknowledging his incredible collective body of work, including the current blockbuster Girls."

The celebration will kick off the 31st annual PALEYFEST, which will take place March 13-28, 2014, at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland. The Festival will feature two reunion events: a 10th anniversary Lost reunion on March 16 and a Veronica Mars series reunion (the day prior to the March 14 nationwide release of the series-inspired movie), as well as honor standout series including Orange Is the New Black, How I Met Your Mother Farewell, Pretty Little Liars, Parks and Recreation, Sleepy Hollow, Mad Men, The Vampire Diaries & The Originals, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Masters of Sex, The Mindy Project, Community, Veep, and American Horror Story: Coven.

Citi is the Official Card for PALEYFEST. Individual tickets to PALEYFEST 2014 events at the Dolby Theatre are currently on sale via www.paleyfest.org and the Festival's ticket provider: www.ticketmaster.com, and at (800) 745-3000.
