ABC Cancels "Manhattan Love Story"

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- The fall's freshman survival streak is over as ABC has pulled the plug on its Tuesday comedy "Manhattan Love Story."
The Analeigh Tipton/Jake McDorman-led half-hour fell to a 0.7 adults 18-49 rating this week, barely half of its September 30 launch (1.3 rating) three weeks earlier. Lead in "Selfie" conversely posted a 1.1 rating this past Tuesday, much closer to its launch audience (1.4 rating, also on September 30).
The previously announced special "The Great Christmas Light Fight" will fill "Manhattan's" time period this coming Tuesday while an additional episode of "Selfie" has been booked for November 4 at 8:30/7:30c. A permanent replacement has yet to be announced.
