TLC REVEALS EXTRAORDINARY STORIES OF EMOTIONAL AND PHYSICAL TRANSFORMATIONS IN "MY 600-LB LIFE" AND NEW SERIES "SKIN TIGHT"

Fourth Season of MY 600-LB. LIFE Premieres Wednesday, January 6, at 9/8c Followed by the Series Premiere of SKIN TIGHT at 10/9c on TLC

(Silver Spring, MD) -Twenty-four Americans who feel like prisoners in their own body seek to change their lives forever by enlisting the help of doctors to drastically change their appearance. Beginning Wednesday, January 6th at 9/8c with the season four premiere of MY 600-LB LIFE we'll follow the lives of 12 people weighing over 600-lbs and their medical journey to shed the weight. Then, in the new series SKIN TIGHT, premiering Wednesday, January 6th at 10/9c, viewers will meet 12 Americans who have lost massive amounts of weight and are ready to undergo a full-body transformation through skin removal surgery.

Each hour-long episode of MY 600-LB. LIFE tells the powerful story of one morbidly obese individual - many who are home bound, relying on care just to live day-to-day - as they make the courageous decision to undergo gastric bypass surgery. The popular series documents the life-saving, but traumatic experience of surgery, the ups and downs of struggling with addiction and dependence, and the inevitable impact that change has on personal relationships. High-risk surgery, addiction, dependency, fear, pain, helplessness, victory, pride - this story is as much about heart as it is about weight loss.

We'll meet Nikki Webster, who at 33-years-old weighs 650-lbs and her food addiction is killing her, but she feels powerless to stop the fast food binges. Ashley Bratcher, a 26-year-old mother of a five-year-old son, weighs 725-lbs. Her son is one of her primary caregivers, bringing her food and helping with daily chores. And, Sean Milliken was traumatized by his parent's divorce leading him to turn to food for comfort. Sean's weight has reached a dangerous level: 900-lbs, barely being able to stand for 30 seconds. In a high risk gamble to save their lives, MY 600-LB LIFE follows 12 Americans as they travel to Houston, TX in desperate hopes to undergo surgery.

After hundreds of pounds of fat are shed through methods ranging from gastric bypass surgery to strict dieting and workouts, there is still a constant reminder of a person's once much heavier self. SKIN TIGHT takes an intimate look at people who have lost extreme amounts of weight and will go through extensive surgeries to remove up to 50-lbs of excess skin. Some individuals have six-packs, but it remains hidden under mounds of skin, leaving many feeling even more uncomfortable than when they were obese. With cutting edge technology and reconstructive surgical options, experienced surgeons will cut away massive amounts of skin, creating a full-body transformation. The reveal will not only change each subject's self-image, but will change their lives forever.

We'll meet a variety of candidates including, Brian Flemming who astonishingly lost 400-lbs., but is now left drowning in pounds of extra skin. He's become very active, but his current body is preventing him from achieving his goals of running an Iron Man marathon and becoming a personal trainer. Ariel McWhorter lost 260-lbs., but she now has trouble singing and having an intimate relationship. And, Tim Bauer who lost 228-lbs now motivates others by giving talks about his inspirational weight loss story. But he struggles with personal relationships with his daughters and the ability to be intimate with his girlfriend.

MY 600-LB. LIFE and SKIN TIGHT are produced by Megalomedia for TLC.
