CBS News Announces State of the Union Coverage Plans

SCOTT PELLEY, NORAH O'DONNELL AND JOHN DICKERSON TO LEAD CBS NEWS' PRIMETIME COVERAGE OF PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA'S FINAL STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS AND THE REPUBLICAN RESPONSE

CBS News Will Provide Original Reporting and Multi-Platform Coverage on the CBS Television Network, CBSN, CBSNews.com and CBS Radio News

CBS EVENING NEWS Anchor and Managing Editor Scott Pelley, CBS THIS MORNING co-host Norah O'Donnell and FACE THE NATION Anchor and CBS News Political Director John Dickerson will lead CBS News' live, primetime coverage of President Obama's State of the Union Address and the Republican response on Tuesday, Jan. 12, starting at 9:00 PM ET, on the CBS Television Network.

During Tuesday's primetime coverage, Pelley, O'Donnell and Dickerson will broadcast live from Washington, D.C., and will be joined by CBS News Correspondents Margaret Brennan at the White House; Nancy Cordes on Capitol Hill; and Major Garrett with reaction from the campaign trail. Also joining the coverage as part of a political panel will be CBS News Political Analyst Jamelle Bouie and Michael Gerson, columnist at The Washington Post.

The coverage will extend across all CBS News platforms, including CBSN, CBS News' 24/7 digital streaming news network featuring live, anchored coverage.

Additional coverage plans for the State of the Union include:

CBS THIS MORNING (7:00-9:00 AM):

· CBS THIS MORNING will begin the Network's extensive coverage on Tuesday, Jan. 12, with original reporting led by co-hosts Charlie Rose and Norah O'Donnell.

· O'Donnell will return to New York to co-host CBS THIS MORNING with Rose and Gayle King on Wednesday, Jan. 13, for post-speech coverage.

CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY (6:30-7:00 PM, ET):

· Scott Pelley will anchor the CBS EVENING NEWS live from Washington, D.C., on Tuesday, Jan. 12, with a team of CBS News correspondents previewing the speech.

CBS NEWS DIGITAL:

· CBSN will offer comprehensive coverage on Tuesday, Jan. 12 and will preview the speech with special live programming beginning at 7:00 PM, ET.

· CBSN will stream the Network's coverage beginning at 9:00 PM, ET, including live analysis following the speech. CBSN will replay the coverage and analysis at 11:00 PM, ET. CBSN is available on CBSNews.com, the CBS News mobile apps for iOS, Android and Windows 8.1, and connected TV devices including Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, Roku players and Roku TV models, and Xbox One.
