DISCOVERY LIFE'S "NEW GIRLS ON THE BLOCK" RECEIVES GLAAD MEDIA AWARD NOMINATION FOR OUTSTANDING REALITY PROGRAM
Silver Spring, MD - Discovery Life's NEW GIRLS ON THE BLOCK was nominated today for a GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Reality Program. The inspirational series was the first to embed with a real group of female friends within the transgender community, offering a transformative look at these women's lives as they navigate their daily struggles and successes. It is the network's first GLAAD Media Award nomination in the Outstanding Reality Program category.
"We are excited to have been nominated for a GLAAD Media Award for NEW GIRLS ON THE BLOCK. We are so proud of the group of highly inspirational and entertaining women who opened their lives to our viewers," said Howard Lee, General Manager of Discovery Life.
NEW GIRLS ON THE BLOCK is produced by Conveyor Media in association with Reality Road. Jay James, Colin Whelan, Teri Rogers, Matt Antrim, and Eric Streit are executive producers.
