ESQUIRE NETWORK TO AIR SPECIAL "MY FRIENDS CALL ME JOHNNY" FEATURING IN-DEPTH INTERVIEW WITH DOV CHARNEY, RECENTLY OUSTED FOUNDER OF AMERICAN APPAREL, TOMORROW, JANUARY 29 AT 8 PM ET/PT

"I'm paralyzed... I don't know what I could do if I could follow my instincts. But my instincts are maybe not what the world accepts. Maybe I'm defective. But you can have a dog that's defective, but the dog is trying. I don't get up in the morning and want to hurt anybody..." -Dov Charney

Esquire Network will air an episode of MY FRIENDS CALL ME JOHNNY, featuring a provocative interview with Dov Charney, the recently ousted founder and former American Apparel CEO. In this special, he speaks candidly with Jean Pigozzi about everything, from his company to his love life and more. Nothing is left off the table when MY FRIENDS CALL ME JOHNNY airs tomorrow, Friday, January 29 at 8 pm ET/PT exclusively on Esquire Network.

In this episode of MY FRIENDS CALL ME JOHNNY, Jean Pigozzi visits Dov Charney at his home in Los Angeles for a very open and frank conversation on a range of topics including the origin of American Apparel, and Charney's obsession with the t-shirt business; his thoughts on monogamy as well as past and present relationships with women, "I'm a mess... I'm completely confused about relationships and women," he says. Charney reveals the roots of his interest in photography and his passion for photographing his models; his experiences with women becoming violent and threatening him with a knife, and finally discussing whether his life would be easier if he were gay.

MY FRIENDS CALL ME JOHNNY features candid and in-depth conversations with some of the most creative minds on the planet, hosted by Jean "Johnny" Pigozzi, one of the world's most connected men. Pigozzi is heir to a European auto fortune, photographer, art collector, successful tech investor, jet setter and creator of the men's clothing brand LimoLand.
