Stunt Performers from "Mad Max: Fury Road" & "Game of Thrones" Announced as 22nd SAG Awards Honorees

Stunt Performers from "Mad Max: Fury Road" and "Game of Thrones" Announced as 22nd Screen Actors Guild Awards(R) honorees for Outstanding Action Performances by Film and Television Stunt Ensembles

LOS ANGELES (Jan. 30, 2016) - The stunt performers and coordinators from "Mad Max: Fury Road" and "Game of Thrones" are this year's Screen Actors Guild Awards(R) honorees for Outstanding Action Performances by Film and Television Stunt Ensembles, it was announced today from the 22nd Annual SAG Awards(R) red carpet by SAG Awards Committee Chair JoBeth Williams and SAG Awards Committee Vice Chair Daryl Anderson. The announcement was made on the live 22nd Annual SAG Awards Red Carpet Show which is being webcast on sagawards.tntdrama.com, sagawards.org and PEOPLE.com on Saturday, Jan. 30, beginning at 6 p.m. (ET) / 3 p.m. (PT), with the Stunt Ensemble recipients announced at 6:15 p.m. (ET) / 3:15 p.m. (PT).

The Stunt Ensemble honors commend work within the stunt community during 2015 and recognize stunt performers and coordinators. Nominees chosen by their respective SAG Awards film and television nominating committees were announced on Dec. 9, 2015. Information on voting procedures to choose the recipients was sent to the 116,741 active voting members of SAG-AFTRA on Dec. 16. Balloting closed at noon on Friday, Jan. 29. Integrity Voting Systems, the Awards' official election teller, sealed the results until Howard and Williams announced them on the SAG Awards red carpet.

About the 22nd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards(R)

The 22nd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards(R) presented by SAG-AFTRA with Screen Actors Guild Awards, LLC will be produced by Avalon Harbor Entertainment, Inc. and will be simulcast live on TNT and TBS on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016 at 8 p.m. (ET) / 5 p.m. (PT). TBS and TNT subscribers can also watch the SAG Awards live through the networks' websites and mobile apps. In addition, TNT will present a primetime encore of the ceremony immediately following the live presentation. Prior to the televised ceremony, honorees for outstanding television and film stunt ensemble action performances will be announced from the red carpet during the SAG Awards Red Carpet Pre-show, which will be webcast live on sagawards.tntdrama.com, sagawards.org and People.com beginning at 6 p.m. (ET) / 3 p.m. (PT).

One of the awards season's premier events, the SAG Awards(R) annually celebrates the outstanding motion pictures and television performances from the previous calendar year. Of the top industry honors presented to actors, only the SAG Awards are selected entirely by performers' peers in SAG-AFTRA. Members in good standing eligible to vote this year number 116, 741. The SAG Awards was the first televised awards show to acknowledge the work of union members and the first to present awards to motion picture casts and television ensembles.
