Fifth-Year Pro Appears on FOX NFL SUNDAY and FOX NFL KICKOFF Pregame Shows for Talkbacks, Features and Bye-Week Studio Appearance

Los Angeles - One of the National Football League's ascending young stars on the field and a colorful personality in front of the camera, Washington Redskins All-Pro cornerback Josh Norman joins FOX Sports as an on-air contributor for the 2016 season. The announcement was made Monday by FOX Sports President of Production & Executive Producer, John Entz.

In his recurring role, Norman splits appearances between FOX NFL KICKOFF (11:00 AM ET) and the No. 1-rated, award-winning FOX NFL SUNDAY (12:00 PM ET) pregame shows, participating in talkbacks via satellite, pre-packaged features shot during the practice week and also serves as an analyst in the Los Angeles studio on Sunday, Nov. 6, during Washington's Week 9 bye.

"We've gotten to know Josh over the last couple of years and when we talked about what this might look like, we felt it was a really unique opportunity to team up with him and create something different for the audience on Sunday mornings," Entz said. "He is a really dynamic, interesting guy and we're looking forward to integrating him in a variety of ways with both of our shows."

Originally a fifth-round draft choice of the Carolina Panthers, Norman has developed into one of the NFL's top cover men since entering the league in 2012. Emerging as a true shutdown corner, he enjoyed a breakout season in 2015 as an integral part of an opportunistic Carolina defense that led the NFL in takeaways. Norman helped the Panthers to a victory in the NFC Championship Game and a berth in Super Bowl 50, while individually earning prestigious first-team All-Pro acclaim from both the Associated Press and the Pro Football Writers Association, in addition to being named to his first Pro Bowl. He signed with the Redskins as a free agent this past April.

"I want to thank FOX Sports for allowing me the opportunity to be original and pursue life goals outside of my professional football career," Norman said. "It is truly an honor to be a part of two special shows and I could not be more grateful or excited."

With the Redskins opening their season on Monday night, Sept. 12 vs. Pittsburgh, Norman makes his FOX NFL debut on Sunday, Sept. 11 on FOX NFL KICKOFF at 11:00 AM ET on the FOX broadcast network.
