9J 9K 9L (CBS, New!) - Real-life husband-and-wife duo Dana Klein and Mark Feuerstein are set to team for a new comedy at the Eye, inspired by Feuerstein's own experiences, about "a guy who lives in apartment 9K in the building he grew up in, sandwiched between his parents' apartment, 9J, and his brother, sister-in-law and their baby's apartment, 9L, and attempts to set boundaries with his intrusive but well-meaning family." They'll co-write the half-hour, which has a penalty attached, and executive produce alongside Aaron Kaplan of Kapital Entertainment as well as Wendi Trilling and Dana Honor for CBS Television Studios. BILLIONS (Showtime) - James Wolk ("Zoo") will guest on the show's second season as Craig Heidecker, "an innovative young tech billionaire." (Variety.com)
CRIMINAL MINDS (CBS) - ABC Studios and CBS Television Studios have opted to terminate co-star Thomas Gibson's contract following "a physical altercation on the set of the show." (Deadline.com)
FEAR THE WALKING DEAD (AMC) - Jami O'Brien ("Hell on Wheels") has joined the series as a co-executive producer as part of a two-year-overall deal with the network. She'll also write and executive produce "NOS4A2," a potential drama based on Joe Hill's supernatural novel. (Deadline.com)
GOOD PLACE, THE (NBC) - Tiya Sircar will recur on the newcomer in a top secret role. (Deadline.com)
MAN SEEKING WOMAN (FXX) - Katie Findlay ("How to Get Away With Murder") has closed a deal "to play Josh's (Jay Baruchel) new love interest during the half-hour comedy's 10-episode third season." (TVLine.com)
MIDNIGHT, TEXAS (NBC) - Eric Charmelo and Nicole Snyder have inked a two-year overall deal at Universal Television where they'll join the studio's newcomer as co-executive producers. Additionally, they've set up a drama project - alongside writer/playwright Evan Twohy - at the network and the studio-based Chernin Entertainment. No details were given. (Deadline.com)
NCIS: NEW ORLEANS (CBS) - Wendie Malick will guest on the new season as Sylvia Lund, "the mother of eccentric forensic scientist Sebastian Lund (Rob Kerkovich)." (EW.com)
TIMELESS (NBC) - Sean Maguire has been cast as Ian Fleming, author of the James Bond novels, in the upcoming time travel drama. (EW.com)
UNTITLED CHRIS DISTEFANO PROJECT (CBS, New!) - Comedian Chris Distefano has sold a multi-camera/hybrid comedy to the Eye about Izzy and Chris, "two 20-somethings raising their newborn daughter and merging their loud families - one Puerto Rican, one Italian." Carter Bays and Craig Thomas are likewise behind the Sony Pictures Television-based project, which has a pilot production commitment. Bays-Thomas Productions' Brian Bockrath will also executive produce. (Deadline.com)
