SHOWTIME(R) CELEBRATES THE TENTH ANNIVERSARY OF ITS GROUNDBREAKING SERIES "DEXTER(R)"

NEW YORK - August 24, 2016 - SHOWTIME is celebrating the ten year anniversary of the launch of its groundbreaking original series DEXTER with a fan-focused campaign surrounding the hit drama. DEXTER, which premiered on the network on October 1, 2006, grew its loyal audience year after year in all of its eight seasons, and was the recipient of the prestigious Peabody Award, as well as 25 Emmy(R) and 10 Golden Globe(R) Award nominations. In celebration of #Dexter10, fans will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite DEXTER episodes in a bracket-style competition on SHO.com over the course of four weeks. The top ten fan picks will culminate in an on-air #Dexter10 Fan Marathon on Saturday, October 1st, exactly ten years after the series debuted on SHOWTIME. Launching this Halloween, SHOWTIME will also debut a new DEXTER mobile game. The puzzle game, developed by Gazillion, will be available on Android and iOS devices.

DEXTER stars Michael C. Hall in his Golden Globe and SAG Award(R)-winning role as Dexter Morgan, a complicated and conflicted blood-spatter expert for the Miami Metro police department, with his own twisted sense of justice as he spends his days solving crimes and nights committing them. Named one of the best-written series of all time by the Writers Guild of America, the acclaimed series featured a stellar ensemble cast including Julie Benz, Jennifer Carpenter, Aimee Garcia, Desmond Harrington, Erik King, C.S. Lee, Geoff Pierson, Lauren Vélez, David Zayas and James Remar. Produced by SHOWTIME, DEXTER is executive produced by John Goldwyn, Sara Colleton, consultant Clyde Phillips, Chip Johannessen, Scott Buck, Manny Coto, Tim Schlattmann, Wendy West, Jace Richdale, Charles H. Eglee, Melissa Rosenberg, Daniel Cerone and Michael C. Hall. DEXTER was developed for television by James Manos Jr.

Every season of DEXTER is currently available on SHOWTIME ANYTIME(R) and SHOWTIME ON DEMAND(R). All eight seasons are also available through SHOWTIME (showtime.com), the stand-alone streaming service available through Amazon, Apple(R), Google and Roku(R), as well as through Amazon Prime Video, Hulu and Sony PlayStation(R) Vue. One of the networks' most popular series of all time, DEXTER is currently licensed in over 200 countries around the world. With over 13.5 million fans on Facebook and 700,000 followers on Twitter, DEXTER has the largest fan community of any SHOWTIME series.
