STARZ CONTINUES TO SCORE WITH FOURTH SEASON RENEWAL OF HIT COMEDY SERIES "SURVIVOR'S REMORSE"

Beverly Hills, Calif., August 24, 2016 - Starz announced today that it has ordered a fourth season of the critically-acclaimed comedy series "Survivor's Remorse" from executive producers Mike O'Malley, Tom Werner, LeBron James and Maverick Carter for SpringHill Entertainment, Paul Wachter, Victor Levin and Hilton Smith.

Season Three of "Survivor's Remorse" has seen record increases in its audience, averaging 2.9M viewers per episode among all reportable platforms, an increase of more than 20 percent above Season Two and 60 percent above Season One.1 Episode 306, which aired Sunday, August 21, showed a 20 percent gain over the previous week, making it the second highest premiere viewing ever for the series.2 "Survivor's Remorse" is a top-4 scripted program on cable among African-American viewers and a top-6 weekend program on cable among African-American viewers.3

"I'm incredibly proud of the team at 'Survivor's Remorse' and what we've built," said LeBron James. "The show grew so much this year, attracting new fans and reaching new levels of popularity. I want to thank all the fans who've made 'Survivor's Remorse' a success and the team at Starz for all of their support."

"We are thrilled to renew 'Survivor's Remorse' for a fourth season," said Carmi Zlotnik, managing director of Starz. "Critics have consistently called it one of the smartest and funniest comedies on television and we are delighted to see audiences embracing the characters and the storyline with that same enthusiasm. Mike O'Malley and his tremendously talented team of writers and actors boldly tackle today's most pressing issues, from race, class, sex, and politics, to love and loss, but with such a deft touch that nothing ever feels heavy-handed. In the Calloways, O'Malley has created a modern family bound by heart and humor, who remain completely relatable despite dealing with the 'pro-money and pro-problems' that come with Cam's position as one of the top basketball stars in the nation."

"Survivor's Remorse" made its third season debut on Sunday, July 24 as part of STARZ's decision to shift its original programming to Sunday nights, which has long been established as the home of premium television. Since Season Three of "Survivor's Remorse" premiered on Sunday nights, it has seen its premiere telecast audience grow 159 percent compared to Season Two and 308 percent compared to Season One.2

About "Survivor's Remorse"

"Survivor's Remorse" follows the life of Cam Calloway (played by Jessie T. Usher), a hard-working, young basketball star who is thrust into the limelight after signing a huge contract with a pro basketball team in Atlanta. In Season Three, fame and fortune can't shield pro-basketballer Cam Calloway against tragedy. Each member of the Calloway family copes with the fallout of Uncle Julius' accident in their own way. Family bonds are tested, as a new season of "Survivor's Remorse" explores themes of love and loss, the comforts and doubts found in religion, the danger of seeking out ancestral roots, the power of bad parenting, the pitfalls of public utterances, and the pain of dredging up the past. The cast also includes RonReaco Lee, Tichina Arnold, Teyonah Parris and Erica Ash.

Mike O'Malley, Emmy(R)-nominated actor for his role on "Glee," serves as executive producer and showrunner. Tom Werner, Chairman of the Boston Red Sox, and LeBron James executive produce along with Maverick Carter, CEO of SpringHill Entertainment; Paul Wachter, founder and Chief Executive Officer of Main Street Advisors, Victor Levin ("Mad Men," "Mad About You") and Hilton Smith ("Hung," "Deadwood").

Starz retains all domestic and international multiplatform rights including television, home entertainment, and digital.
