"THROUGH THE WORMHOLE WITH MORGAN FREEMAN" RETURNS TO SCIENCE CHANNEL AUGUST 30 AT 10PM

-What Makes a Terrorist? Are There More Than Two Sexes? Explored in New Season-

(New York) - Morgan Freeman returns to host an all-new season of multiple Emmy Award-nominated series THROUGH THE WORMHOLE WITH MORGAN FREEMAN beginning Tuesday, August 30 at 10PM. Freeman continues to challenge Science Channel audiences to think about daring questions while taking a deeper look at the science behind some of society's most controversial and timely topics.

This season of THROUGH THE WORMHOLE WITH MORGAN FREEMAN features some of the world's top experts plumbing deep and sometimes troubling questions, providing new insights on some of our planet's most compelling topics. In the season premiere, Freeman explores, "What Makes a Terrorist?" Experts examine terrorism through the lens of science, revealing how a terrorist's brain is shaped and asks, if we can understand how a terrorist thinks, can we actually win the war on terror?

"We are privileged to have the opportunity to explore such important politically-charged social issues as gun violence, gender identity, terrorism and privacy through the often-overlooked prism of science," said Morgan Freeman and Lori McCreary, executive producers of Through the Wormhole with Morgan Freeman.

"We are pleased to be working with Morgan and Revelations Entertainment for these seven seasons," said Marc Etkind, General Manager of Science Channel. "This series is ambitious and not afraid to tackle the biggest topics and most provocative, necessary questions that only Morgan and his team can answer."

Other topics this season will include:

· Are There More than Two Sexes? Boy or girl? It's an eternal question. Science reveals the line between male and female is blurred and the battle is at a cellular level. Are there more than two sexes?

· Is Privacy Dead? We live under a global surveillance system that solves crime and uncovers terrorist plots. But are we ready for a world without secrets - where not even our homes are off-limits and corporations know our every desire?

As we explore these timely and thought provoking topics this season, find additional insight from our experts and join the conversation at ScienceChannel.com and on Facebook and Twitter @ScienceChannel.

THROUGH THE WORMHOLE WITH MORGAN FREEMAN is produced for Science Channel by Revelations Entertainment where Morgan Freeman and Lori McCreary are executive producers and James Younger is EVP, Factual, Revelations Entertainment. For Science Channel, Neil Laird serves as executive producer.
