Throughout the summer, women are abducted from the Sunset Strip and murdered, their bodies turning up in bizarre places around the city. Detectives are desperate for a break in the case when an unidentified woman calls in, claiming to know the killer. As investigators decipher fact from fiction, they realize they are dealing with a serial murderer they really don't know.

Police suspect they are dealing with a hate crime, but months pass and they still don't have any real leads. While the town lives in fear that the killer will strike again, detectives have concerns that the case may go cold. That is, until they uncover a terrified victim of domestic abuse who they believe holds the key to the investigation. Hidden evidence and shocking surveillance footage reveal a disturbing motive that will bring down one man and divide a family.

Dubbed the "Stocking Strangler", the killer strikes at will and police seem powerless to stop him. Years pass before Carton Gary, a small-time criminal, is convicted of murder and sentenced to death. It all seems open and shut - until Vanity Fair writer David Rose takes a closer look at the investigation. Rose and Gary's legal team uncover shocking facts that leave them wondering if Carlton Gary is actually an innocent man. What will it take to stop Gary's impending execution?

Grounds for Murder by Sarah Ellison - premieres Monday, February 20 at 9/8c

In October 2009, Dan and Gil Harrington discover that their daughter, Morgan, a junior in college, is missing. Morgan's friends last saw her at a concert on the University of Virginia campus. Weeks pass and the case goes cold... until a farmer uncovers Morgan's body in a field three months later. Panic pervades the campus as police fear a killer is on the loose in the elite college town. Five years later, another young woman disappears from the campus, 18-year-old Hannah Graham. What sinister secrets will police uncover as two families galvanize the public to help put a killer behind bars?

Investigators realize they may be dealing with a terrifying serial killer as Lucas divulges details about hundreds of murders. Police from across the country meet with Lucas to verify the facts, and slowly, case after case is closed and families of the victims finally find closure. But some investigators wonder if they have the real killer behind bars. Could a vicious murderer still be on the loose? It will take more than 20 years to find out the truth.

When Aubrey Lloyd learns her teenage sister has run away, Aubrey is certain she knows what's happening. Her sister is being sold for sex. It is a familiar story for Aubrey, who was forced into prostitution when she was a high school student. The multibillion-dollar sex trafficking industry has evolved into a modern day slave trade.
