Donald Glover Inks Overall Production Deal with FX Productions

Golden Globe(R) Awards Winning Writer / Producer / Director and Actor Will Develop New Projects For FX Networks, As Well As Other Networks and Streaming Services

Glover's Award-Winning Hit Comedy Series Atlanta Will Return in 2018

LOS ANGELES, January 12, 2017 - FX Productions (FXP) has signed Atlanta creator and Golden Globe(R) Award winner Donald Glover to an exclusive overall television production deal, it was announced jointly today by Nick Grad and Eric Schrier, Presidents of Original Programming, FX Networks and FX Productions.

Under the overall deal, Glover will develop television series for FX Networks and other networks and streaming services, in addition to continuing to executive produce, write, direct and star in Atlanta.

"Donald is a remarkable artist, effortlessly shifting from actor to writer, producer, director and musician to create one amazing project after another," Grad said. "Atlanta was just the beginning, the breakout comedy of the year and a series revered as much for its originality as its honest look at the experience of being aspiring, young and black in that legendary city. We're proud to partner with Donald in an overall deal that will allow him to continue turning his creative vision into incredible television."

Also today, FX announced that Glover's award-winning hit comedy series Atlanta will return for a second season in 2018 due to Donald's production schedule.

The first season of Atlanta won the Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series - Musical or Comedy, and Glover was honored for Best Performance By an Actor in a Television Series - Musical or Comedy. Glover also won the Critics' Choice Award for Best Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, and he was recently nominated for a WGA Award and DGA Award.

In the Uproxx and Metacritic Television Critics Lists of the Best Shows of 2016, Atlanta ranked as both the best comedy series and new series of 2016, and ranked as the second best show of 2016 behind The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story.

Atlanta was basic cable's most-watched new comedy in three years in Adults 18-49 and the highest-rated comedy in FX Networks' history, averaging 4.84 million Total Viewers across all linear and non-linear platforms. In year-end critics' polls, Atlanta received the most #1 rankings of any comedy or new show.

Glover is repped by WME, Dianne McGunigle at MGMT Entertainment, and attorney Lev Ginsburg at Ginsburg Daniels LLP.
