FATAL ATTRACTION (FOX) - The network has opted not to move forward with the event series, a proposed reboot of the iconic 1987 thriller. Maria and Andre Jacquemetton were spearheading the project, which had begun active casting, for Paramount Television and 20th Century Fox Television. (Deadline.com)
INSPIRATION (E!, New!) - Allison Schroeder (Hidden Figures) has sold a new drama to the cable channel and Universal Cable Productions about Elise Moreno, an upcoming musician trying to make it in Los Angeles who learns her father is a famous musician that has fallen into a coma and left her with his Power of Attorney. Scooter Braun and Scott Manson of SB Projects and Chris Bender and Jake Weiner of Good Fear also serve as executive producers with David Appleton, James Shin and Daniel Vang receiving producing credits. LIBBY & MALCOLM (ABC) - Anton Cropper ("Suits") has been tapped to direct the Felicity Huffman/Courtney B. Vance-led comedy pilot from Kenya Barris and Vijal Patel. (Deadline.com)
MARS (NGC) - The cable channel has commissioned a second season of the series. No specifics about the new installment however were given. (Deadline.com)
NIGHTMARE TIME (TBS) - The cable channel has passed on its comedy horror anthology pilot from Aubrey Plaza, Darcy Fowler, Kieran Valla and Seth Kirschner. (Deadline.com)
ORIGINALS, THE (The CW) - Michael Narducci has bowed out as showrunner of the series, opting to sign a two-year overall deal with ABC Studios. Julie Plec is expected to take over said role should the series return for a fifth season. (THR.com)
