AMERICAN WOMAN/HEATHERS (TV Land) - Both of the network's recently ordered scripted projects are segueing to the newly rebranded Paramount Network (formerly Spike TV). The former "is also expected to undergo pilot reshoots to add a male lead who will heavily recur." (THR.com)
BEHIND ENEMY LINES (FOX) - Willa Fitzgerald and Dylan Bruno are the latest to board the drama pilot as Roxanne Daly, "a Navy pilot stationed on the USS Tyson, and Ziggy's (Gabriel Chavarria) ex-girlfriend"; and Scott Byrne, "the cautious, but firm Commander of the Air Group, who has a lot of pilots under his command." Fitzgerald's involvement is in first to "Scream." (Deadline.com)
BROTHERED UP (CBS) - Merrin Dungey ("Conviction") has been cast in the comedy pilot as Desri, "Calvin's (Romany Malco) wife, the woman who knows him better than he knows himself." Said role is formally in second position to the technically not canceled ABC drama. (Deadline.com)
CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND (The CW) - Co-creator/executive producer Aline Brosh McKenna has inked a two-year overall deal with producer CBS Television Studios where she'll develop new series projects. (Deadline.com)
CROSSING, THE (ABC) - Kelley Missal is the latest to board the drama pilot as Hannah, "one of the first survivors to make it to the shore." (Deadline.com)
GET, THE (CBS) - Michael Rady has scored a role on the drama pilot as Tom Chavez, "a senior producer who is most at home when he's out in the field." (THR.com)
GOLDBERGS, THE (ABC) - Nia Long has been tapped to topline the show's spin-off pilot, about Lucy Winston, "a single mother of three and legit cool. She's worked at the same dead end job for the last 7 years, but she needs a better life for her children, who are getting older and inching towards trouble. After begging her brother, Andre Glascott (Tim Meadows), for a job at the Academy he runs (free tuition for three included), Lucy and her kids all have to adjust to a new life in a new school." (Deadline.com)
JACK RYAN (Amazon) - Timothy Hutton will recur on the upcoming John Krasinski-led drama as Singer, "who serves as Deputy Director of Operations." (Deadline.com)
LOSING IT (ABC) - Sam Huntington will round out the lead roles on the comedy pilot, about three misfit adult siblings and their parents who - between divorce, new parenthood, early-onset dementia and let's just say life - are all losing it in different ways; and family is the only way they're going to find it. He'll play Owen, "Andy's (Jon Cryer) handsome, charming and single younger brother, a successful birthday party magician without a care in the world." Natalie Morales also stars. (Deadline.com)
POSE (FX, New!) - Ryan Murphy has booked another project at the cable channel: "Set in 1986, Pose examines the juxtaposition of several segments of life and society in New York City: the emergence of the luxury Trump-era universe, the downtown social and literary scene and the ball culture world." Murphy (who will direct), Brad Falchuk and Steven Canals are behind the project, with Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson also executive producing and Sherry Marsh producing for FX Productions and Fox 21 TV Studios. Filming is set to begin in October in New York for a 2018 premiere. (Deadline.com)
RESIDENT, THE (FOX) - Emily VanCamp has booked the female lead on the drama pilot as Nicolette aka Nic, "the nurse who is Conrad's (Matt Czuchry) on-again-off-again romantic fling." (Deadline.com)
SALVATION (NBC) - Rachel Griffiths has been tapped for the lead role on the drama pilot as Kim Masters, "an Emergency Department nurse at Our Lady of Salvation Hospital in Brooklyn who arguably holds the place together through sheer force of personality. Unhappily divorced from Officer Billy McCann, she's a single mom with a 13-year-old son, and her own mother is edging into the shadowland of dementia." (Deadline.com)
STAR (FOX) - Chuck Pratt has stepped down as showrunner of the series, which wrapped its freshman run last night. The search is underway for a replacement. Pratt in turn succeeded original showrunner Charley Murray. (Deadline.com)
TRUSTEE, THE (ABC) - David Warshofsky has snagged a role on the drama pilot as Eliza's (Meaghan Rath) father Anthony Radley, "a tough retired cop who retreats into the bottle on the anniversary of his police officer son's death." (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED CITY MAYOR PROJECT (ABC) - Yvette Nicole Brown ("The Odd Couple") has signed onto the Brandon Micheal Hall-led comedy pilot as Dina, "Courtney's chatty, drama-prone, single mom who had him when she was a teenager - but she's also his best friend and biggest cheerleader. They're always oversharing, and he seeks out her advice on everything. Dina, who has a high-volume personality and a big laugh, works at the post office, which allows her to stay on top of the latest neighborhood gossip." Said role is in second position to the CBS comedy. (Deadline.com)
