GRAMMY-NOMINATED SINGER, SONGWRITER AND PRODUCER CHARLIE PUTH TO PERFORM AT THE 2018 RADIO DISNEY MUSIC AWARDS

Multiple-GRAMMY(R) and RDMA-nominated singer Charlie Puth is scheduled to perform at the 2018 Radio Disney Music Awards (RDMA), music's biggest event for families, on FRIDAY, JUNE 22, at the Dolby Theatre(R) at Hollywood & Highland Center(R) in Hollywood, it was announced today on Radio Disney. Puth is also nominated for "The Buzz - Breakout Artist of the Year" at the 2018 RDMA.

Puth, a multi-platinum singer, songwriter and producer, visited the Radio Disney studios and made the announcement on-air. When asked about what he's planning for his first performance at the Radio Disney Music Awards, Puth said, "I always wait until the last minute, it's way more fun for me to have it not so thought out, just really have it be all-encompassing, surrounding the musical elements and maybe I'll do something crazy, like dye my hair green."

The announcement of his RDMA performance comes on the same day as the release of his sophomore album, "Voicenotes," which immediately shot to #1 on the iTunes Album chart. Puth is a favorite of Radio Disney listeners and was nominated for two "ARDYs" in 2017. Singles, "One Call Away" and "We Don't Talk Anymore," from his 2016 debut album "Nine Track Mind," spent a combined 34 weeks on the Radio Disney Top 30 and his current single, "Done For Me," from his sophomore album has been on the Radio Disney Top 30 for five weeks. The first two singles from "Voicenotes," 2x-platinum "Attention" and platinum-certified "How Long," spent a combined 32 weeks on the Radio Disney Top 30. This summer, Puth will embark on his biggest North American tour to date, kicking off on July 13 in Boston.

Fans can vote for the artists that they want to take home an "ARDY" across six voting platforms: Disney.com/RDMA, the Radio Disney app, the DisneyNOW app, Google Search Voting and Radio Disney's Facebook and Twitter. Tickets for the RDMA are on sale now at Ticketmaster.com/RDMA.

The winners will be announced FRIDAY, JUNE 22, at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood, California. A special telecast of the sixth annual show, "2018 Radio Disney Music Awards," will be presented on SATURDAY, JUNE 23 (8:00 p.m., EDT/PDT), on Disney Channel as well as multiple Disney-branded platforms, including Radio Disney, the Radio Disney app, the DisneyNOW app and Disney.com/RDMA.

The 2018 RDMA is sponsored by new and returning clients from the automotive, toy, food and entertainment categories, including Aquabeads(R), Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid, Goldfish(R) crackers, KRAFT(R) Macaroni and Cheese Shapes, Nintendo's Mario Tennis Aces video game on the Nintendo Switch system and The Walt Disney Studios. Den of Thieves, the production company that has delivered some of the biggest moments in live event television, returns for the fourth consecutive year to produce the 2018 RDMA.
