Netflix Announces "Story of a Crime," Anthology Series Inspired by Real Events

Netflix Announces New Anthology Series Inspired In True Events, Historia De Un Crimen

EACH SEASON OF THE SCRIPTED FRANCHISE WILL EXPLORE DIFFERENT CONTROVERSIAL CRIMES FROM RECENT HISTORY AROUND THE WORLD. The first installment will revolve around the murder of Mexican presidential candidate Luis Donaldo Colosio in 1994.

Hollywood, Ca. August 24th, 2018 - Netflix, the world's leading internet entertainment service, announced today Historia de un Crimen, a new scripted crime anthology series that will tackle notorious controversial crimes that have rocked countries for decades, generated social turmoil and triggered charges of corruption and a search for justice.

The first season of the franchise will depict the case of Luis Donaldo Colosio, the Mexican politician and presidential candidate who was assassinated at a campaign rally in Tijuana during the Mexican presidential campaign of 1994. The 8-episode season is set to begin production this week in Mexico City and will be available exclusively to Netflix members around the world in 2019.
