4400, THE/LA COMPLEX, THE (The CW) - The netlet has rolled both proposed reboots to next season. Said report indicates "The 4400" script "could not be finished and delivered on time for this pilot cycle"; while "Complex" was pushed "largely due to the numbers game involved in each round of pilot orders by the CW." BLACK-ISH (ABC) - Octavia Spencer is slated to appear as herself in the show's February 26 episode, "Black History Month," directed by Tracee Ellis Ross. (TVLine.com)
EXPANSE, THE (Amazon) - Lyndie Greenwood has been cast as Dr. Elvi Okoye on the show's upcoming fourth season. (TVLine.com)
FBI: MOST WANTED (CBS) - Keisha Castle-Hughes will join Julian McMahon in the "FBI" backdoor pilot spin-off as Lynn Khanna, "a cowboy boot-wearing FBI analyst from a conservative Dallas family. She is a master of data-mining and social engineering with a sharp, earthy sense of humor. Lynn is tough, playful and young in years but an old soul at heart." (Deadline.com)
HEART OF LIFE (ABC) - Anne Fletcher (The Proposal) is set to direct and co-executive produce the drama pilot, which is inspired by singer-songwriter John Mayer's song of the same name. (Deadline.com)
MR. ROBOT (USA) - Creator Sam Esmail has inked a four-year overall deal - valued in the $20-25 million range per year - with producer Universal Content Productions (formerly known as Universal Cable Productions). The pact gives the studio exclusive access to all his Esmail Corp banner's output, which includes Amazon's "Homecoming" and the upcoming "Briarpatch" at USA. (Deadline.com)
NANA (ABC) - Veteran director Andy Ackerman has been tapped to helm and executive produce the Katey Sagal-led comedy pilot. (Deadline.com)
PRISM (NBC) - Malin Akerman and Mykelti Williamson have booked lead roles on the drama pilot, which is billed as a provocative exploration of a murder trial in which every episode is told through the perspective of a different person involved. She'll play Rachel Lewis: "An Erin Brockovich force of nature, Rachel is as empathetic as she is ruthless and a brilliantly passionate public defender." And he's set as Judge Henley, who's "iron-fisted, but also surprisingly human." (Deadline.com)
RIVERDALE (The CW) - Chad Michael Murray has been cast in the drama as Edgar, "the enigmatic leader of the cult-like Farm, who arrives in Riverdale to spread his teachings and heal the ravaged soul of this once wholesome town. Edgar is a charming, handsome guru, but is he hiding a more sinister agenda?" (Deadline.com)
ROOM 104 (HBO) - The anthology series, from Jay and Mark Duplass, has "already has filmed a third season, which is in the can, and is expected to get an order for a fourth." (Deadline.com)
UNITED WE FALL (ABC, New!) - Julius Sharpe has scored a pilot order from the Alphabet for a new multi-camera comedy billed as "a profoundly realistic, multicultural family sitcom that shows how, when two people with young children and overzealous extended families truly love each other, barely anything is possible." ABC Studios and Sony Pictures Television are both behind the project with Exhibit A's Julia Gunn and Seth Gordon likewise executive producing. (Deadline.com)
WALKING DEAD, THE (AMC) - Danai Gurira is set to bow out of the zombie drama as a series regular after "a handful of episodes" next season. The cable channel ordered said 10th season earlier this week. (THR.com)
WRIGHT (A.K.A. UNTITLED ISAAC WRIGHT, JR. PROJECT) (ABC) - George Tillman, Jr. (The Hate U Give) is set to direct and executive produce the drama, which has received a pilot order from the Alphabet. He'll work from a script by Hank Steinberg on the project, which is now a co-production between ABC Studios and Sony Pictures Television. Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, Doug Robinson, Alison Greenspan and Isaac Wright, Jr. also serve as executive producers. (Deadline.com)
