AMERICAN HOUSEWIFE (ABC) - Lisa Vanderpump will drop by the show's May 6 episode as herself, "which sees the Otto family visiting California on an all-expenses paid trip that overlaps with Katie's (Katy Mixon) birthday." (Variety.com)
DOOGIE KEALOHA, M.D. (Disney+, New!) - Kourtney Kang is developing a reboot of the Neil Patrick Harris-led comedy "Doogie Howser, M.D." at the streaming service. Set in Hawaii, the new incarnation "centers on a 16-year-old half Asian, half white girl who works as a doctor." Original series co-creator Steven Bochco's widow, Dayna Bochco, and son, Jesse Bochco, will executive produce alongside Kang, Jake Kasdan and Melvin Mar for 20th Century Fox Television. ERIN AND AARON (Nickelodeon, New!) - Dicky Murphy is set up a musical multi-camera comedy at the cable channel about "a newly blended family and two polar opposite stepsiblings named Erin and Aaron who come together through music." Sean Cunningham and Marc Dworkin are also executive producing the pilot, which is in pre-production. (Deadline.com)
OTHER BLACK GIRL, THE (Hulu, New!) - Tara Duncan is developing a small screen take on Zakiya Dalila Harris's novel as part of a new overall deal with the streaming service. Harris will co-write the project, about Nella, "an African-American editorial assistant working her way up at an established, starkly white NYC publishing firm. When the new girl, Hazel arrives, Nella couldn't be more excited to have a black co-worker, but over time Nella's world is turned upside as she goes from office darling to public enemy number one." Duncan, via her tetraVision banner, and Temple Hill Entertainment's Marty Bowen and Adam Fishbach will also executive produce. (Deadline.com)
SUPERMAN & LOIS (The CW) - Erik Valdez is the latest addition to the upcoming DC Comics drama as Kyle Cushing, "the husband of Lana Lang (Emmanuelle Chriqui). Valdez's Cushing is Smallville's fire chief and local hero who's seen his fair share of tragedy. Small town raised with small town beliefs, Kyle doesn't care much for the big city and often butts heads with people that come from it." (Deadline.com)
