By The Futon Critic Staff (TFC)

ALL RISE (CBS) - Dorian Missick, real-life husband of lead Simone Missick, will guest on the show's special virtually-produced episode as DJ Tailwind, "our guide through the streets of Los Angeles - a comforting, occasionally irreverent voice we hear as we see beautiful moving images of the almost deserted city, accompanied by beats and music." Said installment will air on Monday, May 4. (Deadline.com)
CANCELLED (Quibi, New!) - Nikki Glaser is set to star in a comedy series for the streaming service about Nikki Reynolds, "arguably the industry's hardest-working stand-up comedian who is on the verge of getting her own late-night talk show. When a questionable set at the Comedy Store goes viral and her career implodes, she is forced to move back in with her parents in St. Louis to weather the storm, lick her wounds, and heal some old ones." Glaser is co-writing the project with Cindy Caponera while sara + tom's Sara Gilbert, Tom Werner and Mandy Summers are also executive producing. (Deadline.com)
MANDALORIAN, THE (Disney+) - Pre-production has already begun on a third installment of the series with creator Jon Favreau writing scripts and the art department creating concepts. (Variety.com)
MARVEL'S HELSTROM/THE PUNISHER (Hulu/Netflix) - Marvel has terminated its overall deals with showrunners Paul Zbyszewski and Steve Lightfoot, respectively. Said decisions are reportedly "the first to be force majeured amid the industry-wide production shutdown." (THR.com)
PIVOTING (FOX) - Eliza Coupe and Tommy Dewey are the first to be cast in Liz Astrof's proposed single-camera comedy, which follows three women after the death of their childhood best friend. Faced with the reality that life is short, in desperate attempts to find happiness, they make a series of impulsive, ill-advised and self-indulgent decisions, strengthening their bond proving it's never too late to screw up your life. Coupe's Amy is "the funny, offbeat producer of a local cooking show who resolves to spend more time with her children following the death of close friend Coleen - even though she knows next to nothing about parenting and finds 30 minutes with her kids frankly exhausting." Dewey then will play Henry: "Like the houses he builds as a private contractor, Henry can weather the storm that is his wife Amy (Coupe). During an argument while driving, Henry accidentally crashes through the front of their local grocery store - which, surprisingly, does wonders for their sex life." Additionally, Tristram Shapeero has come on board to direct while Astrof is penning a backup script. (Deadline.com)
