New York, April 27, 2020 - As The Daily Social Distancing Show with Trevor Noah enters its sixth week of hugely successful remote shows, Comedy Central's stalwart late-night franchise announces an unprecedented format shift. For the first time in its 24-year history, The Daily Show will lengthen its episodes to 45 minutes starting tonight, Monday, April 27th and airing weeknights, Monday through Thursday at 11pm ET/PT on Comedy Central.

The news of supersized Daily Show episodes comes at a moment in time when viewers are heading to host Trevor Noah, not just for satire and escapism, but also for an honest point of view and as a source of trustworthy information. Continuing to build on its prior momentum, Comedy Central and The Daily Show have seen significant linear ratings success, digital gains and highly sought-after bookings as audiences find comfort in comedy programming. Last week, Noah scored New York Governor Andrew Cuomo's first ever late-night interview and on March 26th, Dr. Anthony Fauci chose The Daily Show for his first late-night appearance during the pandemic. Together, the interviews have garnered more than 43M views across channels! Additional show highlights include:
