MIDNIGHT CLUB, THE (Netflix, New!) - Mike Flanagan and Leah Fong are set to team for a TV take on Christopher Pike's novel, which "takes place at Rotterdam Home, a hospice for terminally ill teenagers. A group of patients begin to gather together at midnight to share scary stories. They eventually make a pact that whichever of them dies first will contact the others from beyond the grave." Julia Bicknell and Intrepid Pictures' Trevor Macy will also executive produce the project, with Elan Gale, James Flanagan, and Chinaka Hodge also on board as writers. (Variety.com)
TERMINAL LIST, THE (Amazon, New!) - The Chris Pratt-led drama package from Civic Center Media and MRC Television has landed at Amazon Studios. Writer David DiGilio and director Antoine Fuqua are behind the project, an adaptation of Jack Carr's bestselling novel which "follows James Reece (Pratt) after his entire platoon of Navy SEALs is ambushed during a high-stakes covert mission. Reece returns home to his family with conflicting memories of the event and questions about his culpability. However, as new evidence comes to light, Reece discovers dark forces working against him, endangering not only his life but the lives of those he loves." Pratt's Indivisible Productions and Fuqua's Fuqua Films are also producing. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED ROB FORD PROJECT (AMC, New!) - Jim Gaffigan is attached to play former Toronto mayor Rob Ford in a scripted series at the cable channel, which would "detail the rise and fall of the controversial Ford, who served as the mayor of Toronto from 2010 to 2014 after many years as a city councilor. He was infamously caught on video smoking crack cocaine during his reelection campaign and was known to suffer from other substance abuse issues." Writer Jesse McKeown and director Michael Dowse are spearheading the project with Pacific Electric Picture Co.'s Ed Helms and Mike Falbo also executive producing. (Variety.com)
WALKING DEAD, THE: WORLD BEYOND (AMC) - Post-production on the latest spin-off series has been completed, putting it on track for a fourth quarter premiere later this year. Originally slated for an April 12 launch, said entry was pushed due to complications imposed by COVID-19. (Deadline.com)
