DC'S STARGIRL (The CW) - Nick Tarabay, Jonathan Cake and Ysa Penarejo are all bound for the upcoming second season. (Deadline.com)
MOON KNIGHT (Disney+) - Oscar Isaac is in negotiations to star as the title character in the Marvel Comics series. (Deadline.com)
TEXANIST, THE (FOX) - Thomas Haden Church has signed on to star in the proposed multi-camera comedy, from writer Rob Long and FOX Entertainment. He'll also executive produce the project, which is in script development, alongside David Courtney, Megan Creydt, Scott Brown and The Jackal Group's Gail Berman and Hend Baghdady. Its logline is as follows: "Inspired by the long-running Texas Monthly column, THE TEXANIST centers on Dave (Thomas Haden Church), an opinionated Austin-area radio show host who calls 'em like he sees 'em, dispensing advice to Texas natives and newcomers, alike, on what he knows to be the true Texas Way of life. But the Texas Way is changing, and now Dave's job is becoming much more complicated. Listening to advice from his wife, family and co-workers, Dave must now become the arbiter of which changes to embrace and which to reject, possibly opening his mind in the process... just, not that much."
