IRONHEART (Disney+) - Chinaka Hodge has been tapped as head writer of the Marvel Studios series, which stars Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams, "a genius inventor and the creator of the most advanced suit of armor since Iron Man." (Variety.com)
LAST DAYS OF PTOLEMY GREY, THE (Apple TV+) - The Samuel L. Jackson/Dominique Fishback-led limited series has cast Walton Goggins as Dr. Rubin; Marsha Stephanie Blake as Niecie, "the loving mother of Grey's nephew"; Damon Gupton as Coydog, "Ptolemy Grey's childhood mentor"; Cynthia Kaye McWilliams as Sensia, "Grey's second wife"; and Omar Miller as Reggie Lloyd, "Grey's Grand Nephew." POWER BOOK II: GHOST (Starz) - Reggie "Redman" Noble will visit Clifford "Method Man" Smith on the upcoming season as Theo Rollins, who "used to run the streets with his little brother, Davis MacLean. But now, they sit on opposite sides of the law with Theo serving an extensive prison term, and Davis, off his win in the Tasha St. Patrick case, now the biggest defense attorney in New York City. They both know, had the past played out differently, Davis could be locked up alongside his big brother, but Theo questions if the guilt's enough for Davis to keep his promise." (TVLine.com)
PROMISED LAND (ABC) - Tonatiuh Elizarraraz is the latest addition to the drama pilot as Antonio Sandoval, "one of five children of the Sandoval family, a wealthy vineyard-owning clan in the Sonoma Valley. Antonio has been living in New York after being cast into exile by his father Joe (John Ortiz), but is called back into the fold when the family faces a threat from the outside. Whether Antonio has forgiven or forgotten the treatment he received from his family remains an open question." (Deadline.com)
WHITE HOUSE PLUMBERS, THE (HBO) - Domhnall Gleeson has signed onto the long-in-the-works limited series, which tells the true story of how Nixon's own political saboteurs and Watergate masterminds, E. Howard Hunt (Woody Harrelson), and G. Gordon Liddy (Justin Theroux), accidentally toppled the Presidency they were zealously trying to protect. He'll play John Dean, "the brilliant, ambitious and youthful White House Counsel who orchestrates the illegal cover-up that brought down Nixon and his administration." (Deadline.com)
