The CW Renews "All American: Homecoming," Cancels Seven Series

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- The CW has renewed "All American: Homecoming" for a second season while a whopping seven series received the axe, according to this afternoon's trade publication reports (click on a show for the specific story).
Not making the cut are newcomers "4400" and "Naomi"; veterans "Charmed", "Dynasty" and "Legacies"; as well as "Roswell, New Mexico" and "In the Dark", both of which will now launch their de facto final seasons on June 6.
The news completes the network's major scripted decisions for the 2022-23 season.
The CW made the bulk of its renewals in March with "All American," "The Flash," "Kung Fu," "Nancy Drew," "Riverdale," "Superman & Lois" and "Walker."
Last month the network canceled veterans "Batwoman" and "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" while "Supergirl" and "The Outpost" both signed off last year.
Among those still to be determined: the fate of "DC's Stargirl," whose third season is due this summer; the yet-to-premiere "Tom Swift"; and acquistions "Dead Pixels" and "Two Sentence Horror Stories."
