BLACK CAKE (Hulu) - Glynn Turman and Sonita Henry have both been cast in the upcoming Charmaine Wilkerson adaptation. Turman will play Charles Mitch, "a successful lawyer in Newport Beach, Calif. whose top priority is to honor the final wishes of his dear friend and client Eleanor Bennett after she loses her battle to cancer. As Charles works with Eleanor's family to complete her requests, he is persistent to keep the family together while simultaneously working through his own private grief." And Henry will recur as Mabel Martin, "a well renowned food expert, who enjoys a successful and quiet life with her son and her beloved parents. When her world is upended by a shattering revelation, she'll be forced to question everything she has believed about her family, sending her down a path that ultimately cracks open the pandora's box of her own secrets." (Deadline.com)
BOSCH: LEGACY (Freevee) - Max Martini has scored a recurring role on the spin-off's sophomore season as Don Ellis, "a hardened vice cop in the LAPD. He's intelligent and fierce, and not above getting down and dirty with the criminals he polices to get the job done." (Deadline.com)
FOUND (NBC) - Sonay Hoffman has been tapped as co-showrunner of the upcoming drama, from creator Nkechi Okoro Carroll. The pair will also executive produce alongside Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Lindsay Dunn and director DeMane Davis for Warner Bros. Television. (Deadline.com)
IRONHEART (Disney+) - Zoe Terakes is the latest to book a role on the Marvel Studios series in a yet-to-be-revealed capacity. (Deadline.com)
NOT DEAD YET (ABC) - Lauren Ash has joined the cast of the midseason comedy as Lexi, "the daughter of a wealthy newspaper owner and recently appointed editor. Lexi was raised in a rarefied world of boarding schools and private planes and is comedically out of touch with how normal people live. A former almost-Olympian horse jumper, Lexi exudes extreme confidence. But the truth is she's in way over her head and if the newspaper fails, she'll never win her father's approval - something she desperately wants." (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED ORPHAN PROJECT (Hulu) - Imogen Reid will star opposite Ellen Pompeo in the limited series, which is "inspired by the true story of a Midwestern couple who adopts a young girl with a rare form of dwarfism (Reid)." (Deadline.com)
