FILM SYNOPSIS:

"House On Fire" is an 8-episode reality series offering an intimate look behind the scenes of modern-day Ballroom culture, inside the esteemed House of Mugler. Thirty years after the legendary documentary "Paris is Burning," Ballroom is still a safe space for the marginalized, but today's Ballroom world is bigger and louder than ever. "House on Fire" follows the relationships and rivalries of seven members of this Chosen Family. The parents juggle impressive careers while mentoring their children. The young ones play chess amongst each other to find their place in the House and make a name for themselves - ball by ball, trophy by trophy.

Yusef Williams - "Yusef Miyake-Mugler"

Yusef is one of the world's top hairstylists in addition to being the Overall Father of the House of Miyake-Mugler. Yusef earned a place in the top eschelon of A-list hair stylists, beginning his career with the exclusive world of couture in Paris. Known for being the black hairstylist with the most Vogue covers, Yusef is celebrated for the iconic hairstyles he has created for Rihanna from the Met Gala red carpet to the stage. In addition to working with A list celebrities worldwide, Yusef is building his own hair care line, the Y by Yusef. But don't get it wrong, Yusef takes his position as Overall House Father seriously. He is busy grooming the new generation of Muglers: helping them overcome adversities inside and outside of the Ballroom scene.

Leyna Bloom

The former "jewel" of the House of Mugler, Leyna stuns with her beauty and ambition inside and outside of ballroom. She was the first trans actress to premiere a film in Cannes Film Festival and the first trans model on the cover of Sports Illustrated. Leyna was in line to be Overall Mother of the House until a public feud with Yusef sent her packing. After spending some time in Paris, Leyna is now back and trying to figure out her place in the community... if the House will let her back in. Personally, Leyna is exploring the idea of motherhood in addition to balancing her career and ballroom.

Exotic Miyake-Mugler

A Legendary Face of the ballroom scene and the #2 in the House, Exotic has been shuttling back and forth between a home in Atlanta and a boyfriend inNew York. He's decided to come to NY for the whole summer to test what it's like to live with Lorenzo. The only wrinkle in this plan is the recruitment of Exotic's ex-boyfriend, AJ, into the House... . Outside of the ballroom world, Exotic is known as Andre' Jordan Hilton, the driving force behind one of Atlanta's premier interior design firms - Jordan Hilton Interiors. Hilton was recently awarded as one of the TOP 20 African American Interior Designers in the country. He has worked as the design consultant for HGTV's hit series "Flipping Virgins" helping the show transform numerous homes into show stopping investments.

Brooklyn Miyake-Mugler

Just 19 while filming, Brooklyn is a star in the Drag Realness and Drag Performance categories. The problem is she has also started to transition. For the time being, she's keeping her transition secret from the world because otherwise she wouldn't be able to compete in the drag categories. She is the youngest of five and has all the spoiled brat tendencies you'd expect from the baby of the family. Though Brooklyn is young, she is becoming hugely well known in the ballroom scene, with her ego growing as quickly as her popularity... At a time in her life where she is figuring out what she wants to do with her future, her chosen family is more important than ever!

Tati Miyake-Mugler

Tati is the Princess of the House of Mugler but, despite winning HBOMax's Legendary Season 2 with the House of Miyake-Mugler, she had a hard time returning to voguing and walking the ballroom floor after a BBL shook her body image and confidence. Will she live up to her legend? Posed to take on leadership roles in the house, Tati is a fierce ally and an equally fierce enemy. In the House, Tati is best friends with Lolita and Chanel - these ladies are a riot together! In the non-mainstream Kiki scene, Tati is Legendary and Overall Mother of the Iconic International House of Juicy Couture.

AJ

Antione "AJ" is a school teacher in the Bronx during the week and a sexy IG model man-eater on the weekends. AJ has always been obsessed with ballroom and is hungry to get in the House of Mugler and slay the runway. According to Yusef, AJ's got a lot to do as a prospect to prove himself... AJ still has hurt feelings over his relationship with Exotic that ended two years ago. To this day, he is very careful to always look good around Exotic and make him miss what he doesn't have. AJ throws a lot of shade about Exotic's new relationship. Will he be a home wrecker, or a drama queen, or will he find an ally in his ex who can help him achieve his desire to become a Mugler?

Lolita Miyake-Mugler

The only cis-gendered woman in the cast, Lolita joined the House of Mugler just under 5 years ago. She was formerly a Balenciaga but left that House and was a 007 for a while before joining the Muglers. In addition to walking runway in the ballroom scene, Lolita is a full-time recording artist and an electrifying performer! Lolita, Tati and Brooklyn are all members of the House of Juicy in the kiki scene. She appears on Legendary Season 3 as a member of the House of Juicy.

Roz Miyake-Mugler

He's been a Mugler for 16 years and has made a lot of foes in that time... Roz knows better, and he isn't afraid to tell you he's right. The Prince of the House rubs his chosen family member the wrong way often but he is will fiercely defend the House of Miyake-Mugler passionately. Outside of the house Roz is a personal trainer and teaches art to kids on the side. An engineer by training, Roz comes into this creative world of ballroom with a very analytical mind and clear opinions! He believes that Yusef and Exotic haven't been raising the children right! Roz is quick to point out that he is Legendary and NOT one of Yusef's children...

Chanel Miyake-Mugler

The self-proclaimed goofball of the family and queen of OnlyFans, Chanel just moved to NYC from Atlanta for a summer as she explored the next steps in life. Chanel makes bank on OnlyFans but is ready for her next career... she just doesn't know what it is! Comedy? She just knows she's ready to move on from adult content.
