PEACOCK ORDERS "THE BREAK-IN," NEW MYSTERY SERIES FROM CARNIVAL FILMS AND WRITER MEGAN GALLAGHER

"All Her Fault" Writer/Creator to Adapt New Series from Katherine Faulkner's Bestselling Mystery

· Today Peacock announced it has greenlit "The Break-In," a new drama series adapted from Katherine Faulkner's bestselling domestic mystery novel.

· Written and executive produced by Megan Gallagher and produced by Carnival Films, whose previous collaboration with Peacock, "All Her Fault," became the platform's biggest original launch to date, amassing 45 million hours viewed in its first four weeks.

· In the aftermath of a devastating home invasion, Alice Rathbone refuses to accept that the tragic event was simply random. Desperate for answers, Alice starts pulling at threads and soon finds a trail of dark secrets that spiral closer to home than she could ever have imagined.

· Carnival Films' Gareth Neame and Nigel Marchant ("The Day of the Jackal," "Lockerbie: A Search for Truth") will serve as executive producers alongside Christine Sacani and Katherine Faulkner.

· Carnival Films is part of Universal International Studios, a division of Universal Studio Group.

· "After the breakout success of 'All Her Fault,' we knew we wanted to continue building on that creative momentum with Megan Gallagher and Carnival Films," said Lisa Katz, President, Scripted Content, NBC & Peacock "'The Break-In' is exactly the kind of sophisticated, character-driven mystery our audiences are responding to right now - stories that tap into the zeitgeist by exploring the tension between perception and reality. Katherine Faulkner's story is a compelling, addictive ride and a great example of the premium storytelling we're continuing to build at Peacock."

· "It's an absolute dream to see 'The Break-In' being brought to the screen by this exceptional, world-class team whose passion for the story has been evident from the very beginning." said Katherine Faulkner. "'The Break-In' is a story about motherhood, privilege and guilt, the devastating consequences of lies and the dark secrets that can exist beneath the surface of even the most seemingly perfect lives. I can't wait to work with Megan Gallagher, Carnival Films and Peacock to bring these characters and their secrets to life, and to introduce 'The Break-In' to a whole new audience."

· Nigel Marchant, Co-Executive Chair, Carnival Films added: "We're thrilled to be collaborating with Megan Gallagher and working alongside Peacock again. Katherine Faulkner has given us something genuinely propulsive to work with - a story that gets under your skin and doesn't let go. We can't wait to bring this show to life"

· Megan Gallagher is an Oslo-based, American-born writer and creator known for her distinctive voice in high-end international television drama. Most recently, she created, wrote, and executive produced the Critics' Choice and Golden Globe-nominated "All Her Fault" for Peacock, a premium limited series developed with Carnival Films. Gallagher was also writer and executive producer of psychological crime thriller "Wolf," a six-part series adapted for the BBC from Mo Hayder's acclaimed Jack Caffery novels, directed by Kristoffer Nyholm ("Taboo," "The Enfield Haunting") and produced by Hartswood (Sherlock) and APC Studios. Among her upcoming projects is "The Blame," an ITV drama starring Michelle Keegan and Douglas Booth, on which she serves as lead writer and executive producer

· Katherine Faulkner is an award-winning journalist who previously worked as an investigative reporter and editor, and was formerly Head of News at The Times.
