February 13, 2007 (Burbank, California) - With "Gilmore Girls" matching its season highs in women 18-34, "Beauty and The Geek" delivering its best ratings since its premiere and "Smackdown" reaching new season highs in adults and men 18-34, The CW this week improved over UPN a year ago by 23% in adults 18-34 (1.6/4), 43% in women 18-34 (2.0/5), 18% in adults 18-49 (1.3/3), 33% in women 18-49 (1.6/4) and 15% in viewers (3.4mil), for the week ending Feb. 11, 2007. The CW this week is on par with The WB in adults and women 18-34.

his season (through Sunday 2/11/07), The CW is out-performing both UPN and The WB a year ago in the target demo of women 18-34 (1.9/5, 6% over both UPN and WB). In adults 18-34, The CW (1.5/4) is also posting season-to-season gains over The WB last year by 7% and matches UPN, which only programmed 10 hours per week.

Through 11 days of the Feb Sweep, The CW has improved over UPN of 7% in adults 18-34 (1.5/4) and 21% in women 18-34 (1.7/4). The CW is on pace the WB in adults 18-34.

Nightly Highlights for Week Ending Feb. 11, 2007:

TUESDAY

"Gilmore Girls" continued to surge during the second half of the season, posting another season high in women 18-34 (4.1/10-tie).

"Gilmore Girls" ranked second in the hour among The CW's target demos of adults 18-34 (2.5/7) and women 18-34 (4.1/10), behind only "American Idol."

Compared to an original episode last year on The WB, "Gilmore Girls" posted gains of 8% in women 18-34 (4.1/10 vs. 3.8/9).

Overall, The CW ranked second on Tuesday night among women 18-34 (3.1/7), and beat ABC and NBC from 8:00-10:00 p.m. in adults 18-34 (2.0/5).

WEDNESDAY

"Beauty and The Geek" climbed to its best ratings since the two-hour premiere (1/3/07) in adults 18-34 (2.5/7), women 18-34 (3.3/9), adults 18-49 (2.0/5-tie) and women 18-49 (2.4/6) and viewers (4.2mil). This also marks this cycle's best ratings in the 8:00 p.m. hour in adults 18-34 (tie), women 18-34, adults 18-49 (tie) and women 18-49 (tie).

"Beauty and The Geek" ranked second in the hour in the target demos of adults 18-34 and women 18-34, behind only Fox.

"Beauty and The Geek" continued to build momentum with another week of increases, improving over last week by 4% in adults 18-34, 10% in women 18-34, 5% in adults 18-49, 9% in women 18-49 and 11% in viewers.

Last night's "Beauty and The Geek" also scored dramatic growth at 8:30 p.m., improving at the second half hour by 33% in adults 18-34, 23% in women 18-34, 29% in adults 18-49, 23% in women 18-49 and 21% in viewers.

"One Tree Hill" posted double-digit gains versus its previous original episode (1/24/07), including 27% in adults 18-34 (1.9/5), 23% in women 18-34 (2.7/6), 30% in adults 18-49 (1.3/3), 21% in women 18-49 (1.7/4) and 23% in viewers (2.7mil).

The CW's Wednesday line-up scored double- and triple-digit gains over UPN and The WB the same night a year ago (2/8/06). Compared to UPN, The CW was up 214% in adults 18-34 (2.2/6), 275% in women 18-34 (3.0/7), 129% in adults 18-49 (1.6/4), 200% in women 18-49 (2.1/5) and 99% in viewers (3.5mil). Versus The WB, The CW improved 38% in adults 18-34, 43% in women 18-34, 23% in adults 18-49, 31% in women 18-49 and 24% in viewers.

FRIDAY

The CW's "Friday Night SmackDown" climbed to its best performance of the season in the target demos of adults 18-34 (1.9/7) and men 18-34 (2.3/9). "SmackDown" also matched its season highs in women 18-34 (1.4/5)

"SmackDown" also led The CW to a Friday night win among men 18-34 and all teen categories.

Compared to last week, "SmackDown" improved 12% in adults 18-34 and 10% in men 18-34. "SmackDown" also saw a 17% increase over last week in women 18-34.
