ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" Draws its Largest Audience Since Premiere Week

"JKL" Outperforms "Fallon" for the Week by 15% in Viewers, Topping the NBC Program for the 4th Straight Week, Every Week of the TV 0910 Season

Weekly National Ratings:

During the week of October 12, 2009, ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" attracted its largest audience (1.71 million) since premiere week (week of 9/21/09). "JKL" was up in viewers over the prior week by 6% (1.62 million � week of 10/5/09) and up over the same week last year by 10% (1.56 million � week of 10/13/08).

� "JKL" bettered NBC's "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" by 15% in Total Viewers (1.71 million vs. 1.49 million), outdrawing the NBC late night program in viewers in all four weeks of the 2009-10 TV season. Season to date, "Jimmy Kimmel Live" is outperforming NBC's "Fallon" by 20% in Total Viewers (1.69 million vs. 1.41 million).

"NIGHTLINE" BESTS "TONIGHT SHOW" IN TOTAL VIEWERS 17 WEEKS IN A ROW

"NIGHTLINE" REMAINS SOLID #2 � OUTPERFORMING "TONIGHT" IN BOTH TOTAL VIEWERS AND A25-54

"NIGHTLINE" GROWS +11% AMONG TOTAL VIEWERS YEAR TO YEAR WHILE "TONIGHT SHOW" DECLINES -47%

ABC News' "Nightline" is #2 among Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 for the week of October 12, 2009, according to Nielsen Media Research. This marks the 17th consecutive week "Nightline" has outperformed NBC's "The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien" in Total Viewers and the 4th consecutive week among A25-54. The last time "Nightline" outperformed "Tonight" 17 weeks in a row in Total Viewers was in 1994. "Nightline" also tied "Tonight" and CBS' "Late Show with David Letterman" in the A18-49 rating (1.0).

"Nightline" continues to experience solid growth compared to last year. The program grew +11% among Total Viewers versus the same week last year, as "Tonight" declined -47% and "Letterman" declined -2%. Week to week, "Nightline" increased 2% among Total Viewers and 1% among A25-54, as "Letterman" declined -6% among Total Viewers and -3% among A25-54.

Season to date, "Nightline" is up +9% among Total Viewers, while "Tonight" has declined -47%.

ABC News' "Nightline" is anchored by Cynthia McFadden, Terry Moran and Martin Bashir. John Donvan and Vicki Mabrey are correspondents. James Goldston is the executive producer. The program airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m., ET on the ABC Television Network.
