Marks Syfy's Best New Reality Franchise Premiere in Six Years

Syfy Ranks #2 Cable Network in Prime Last Night Among Adults 25-54

NEW YORK - October 28, 2010 - Syfy found treasure with its new original reality series Hollywood Treasure, which delivered 1.5 million total viewers, nearly one million (973,000) Adults 25-54 and 897,000 Adults 18-49 during its Wednesday, October 27 premiere at 10PM (ET/PT), becoming Syfy's best new reality franchise premiere since the original Ghost Hunters debuted in October 2004.

Last night's premiere episode, in which series star Joe Maddalena auctioned the Mary Poppins magic carpet bag for $95,000, also earned a 1.10 HH HH rating. The second episode at 10:30 PM (ET/PT) held 93 percent of its lead in, averaging 1.4 million total viewers, 832,000 Adults 18-49 viewers and 905,000 Adults 25-54 along with a 1.0 household rating.

Powered by Hollywood Treasure's 939,000 Adults 25-54 and Ghost Hunters' 1.24 million Adults 25-54, Syfy ranked #2 in that demo in prime among all basic cable networks. Ghost Hunters also scared up 1.968 million total viewers during its 9-10PM (ET/PT) time period.

Hollywood Treasure continues with two all-new, back-to-back episodes next Wednesday, November 3 at 10:00PM and 10:30PM ET/PT. This year's broadcast, featuring a live six-hour investigation at the Buffalo Central Terminal in Buffalo, NY, will mark the TAPS team's biggest live investigation: 18 cameras, plus four exclusive camera feeds on www.Syfy.com, will be stationed to capture haunts throughout the massive terminal.
